AMB = a stupid little boy. On several public occasions he has been heard to utter where his loyalties really lie - "...it is the party that matters..." - not the country and certainly not the railways - just his beloved Liebore party :rolleyes: !

As open days go - this was better then nothing - beggars cannot be choosers ! The full range of DRS locomotives was on display and carriages also. There was little else though. Gripes ? - AYE !... No Programme, No Beer and No Transport laid on from Citadel Station ('Kerchingfinder' Tours...

Since 'WE' - the people - own AND subsidize LU = the 'power' be ours for the taking ? - surely ?? :wink: ! As for the Kops = stupid Swines - as ever :rolleyes: !

IA - RIP - :cry: Oneself was only a Spotter for around eighteen months (1980 +/-), but still bought his ABC for some years before / after, buying many another railway publication from his 'stable' also.

Piccadilly has never been the 'friendliest' of stations, but, it used to be even worse !... Back in the days of 'Good old BR' - one asked for help concerning a station stop (having been delayed by BR earlier) - an absolutely ugly old hag, based in a side office at the concourse end of platform...

WCR - something about this outfit has always left us feeling queasy... Dirty Carriages - inside AND outside. Eyesore Premises - an absolute blot on the Carnforth landscape. Mulish Management - less than helpful - to put it politely. Time it was confined to the history books - along with the...

It was alright - but told us anoraks nothing we did not already know - and was probably watched by very few punters for whom it may have been illuminating. BR PLC (minus the freight companies) - PLEASE :| ?

Nottingham - Cardiff via Northampton and Bristol ! Never mind the reopening of the Varsity Line - what about the completely forgotten Welland / Brampton Valley (Market Harborough - Northampton) Line ? This would provide a most useful link between the growing towns of the 'South Midlands'...

This Route = the S&C presumably ? Either way - it be not only that route that was a 'long drag' - try a whole day mopping-up 'twigs' and 'stubs' onboard a DMU :cry: !
