Never mind the reopening of the Varsity Line - what about the completely forgotten Welland / Brampton Valley (Market Harborough - Northampton) Line ?
This would provide a most useful link between the growing towns of the 'South Midlands'...

Either way - it be not only that route that was a 'long drag' - try a whole day mopping-up 'twigs' and 'stubs' onboard a DMU :cry: !
