just a quick note to ask if you ever got any definitive answers regarding the Brian Mills railway depot. I was clerk there between 1966 and 1970. I know it was some years ago you asked but I've only just came across the posts by accident

It's definitely not to do with the Midlands I'm afraid : It's the old Scotrail "swoosh" symbol that BR developed, in the nineties IIRC.

What is the picture on your signature? I swear I've seen it somewhere to do with the midlands, probably wrong though
