Totally agree! The NHS exercise targets are purely the minimum for health anyway, certainly not for fitness particularly if you are used to doing more and want to maintain the fitness you have worked hard to attain.

Yes, the same happened to us last time we travelled from York to Newcastle on XC. We had booked seats in coach D but when the train turned up there was no coach D. Thankfully there were plenty unreserved seats so we were ok.
I always found Warrington bank quay pretty awful when I travelled to the north west a good few years back. Cold windswept platforms with a very depressing view and unpleasant underpasses. Don't know if things have improved since though.
Totally agree, I don't think I've ever felt more unsafe when using the railway than I have using the through platforms at man. Pic. Something new has to be tried or there could be an accident.
I can't speak for other women, but personally would never be offended if someone offered me a seat. I would never read anything into it at all, I would just think it was kind of the person to offer.
Agree completely! There should never be a situation where disabled passengers are left to be over carried on trains or stranded on platforms due to assistance staff being double booked. Companies and the dft need to think of the human cost rather than just the financial implications ie cost of...
