47731 is also back in service with a new cummins engine and reserve buses, kendal B10ms 20905,20945 and lillyhall MAN 22104 are stored at morecambe.

S102 TNB got used again at Gillmoss today this time on the 53/53A, was able to get it and sounded like something was ready to fall off under the Bus.

Is 17692 to be rebuilt as full open top (as all the roof and upper deck windows and frames have been removed) or to part open top (as per the other Stagecoach Cumbria Tridents)?

Since when has service 51 Lancaster - Carnforth, been rerouted away from Windermere Road Estate ?
Only a couple of times lately, I have seen buses come-over the motorway bridge from Over Kellet and continue straight down Kellet Road to Carnforth.
Also, this evening at 7.10, a Trident came over the motorway bridge, from Nether Kellet, and went straight along Back Lane to Kellet Road, then turned left towards Carnforth.

Any chance it could be used to replace newer Buses for the X8?
16653 has now moved to GM, as has 17019 shortly followed by 17021.
MAN's 22253, 22256, 22257, 22807 are due to move from CY before September replaced by Dart's TBC, although they will probably be from GM as new vehicles arrive.
Over the Summer period 18146 is due for repaint, 18156 in Ribble Livery will have the Engine overhauled, 18147, 18148 will probably move to CY TBC shortly.

Preston has one of their new Solo SRs out in service on route 150. Will hopefully get a picture when it comes round again in an hour, weather depending.
just been reading the Dartslf and according to them theres only 3 Wright Axcess Flolines in service at Rock Ferry Depot however i have 4 down on my list (my list is backed by North West Buses Fleetlist dated 7th July) The 4 i have down are

Am I the only one who likes the MANs, the newest 2 batches anyway? Unpopular Although I know that view will be! i wonder, with all the new inviros at C if that will be it in terms of Cumbrian investment for a good while? I should have thought LL want the profiles replacing.

Quite possibly! Most engineers that I know, that have had the misfortune to maintain them, would happily give them away free to anyone that would take them!!

I traveled recently on a 59 reg MAN E300 on the 104 Penrith to Carlisle and thought the ride was good - certainly much better than the Omnicities Arriva use on my local route the 685 Carlisle - Newcastle.
Are the problems with all the different MANs, e.g. the older S/T/V ALX ones ex Manchester, vs 53 reg ALX MANs operated by Stagecoach or the newer 59 reg E300 ones used on the 79/179 and 104.

At around 17.00 today (Sat 02 Aug 2014), I saw red Stagecoach London Trident 17525 pulling out of Willowholme Road (by Sainsbury's) and turning onto Castle Way eastbound with the 'Shuttle Bus' in yellow on a large stick-on black background destination display as used by all the red Stagecoach London Tridents (and others) at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
