17111 should be in company with 17113.

And the darts from GM should be replaced by Versas.

Indeed 17113 is due to arrive, there's no plans to replace Darts with Versa's at present, the MAN's will move before November replaced by Darts from GM as they receive new vehicles.

Witnessed 18158 on Whitegate Drive, Blackpool at lunchtime working inbound from Preston.

What's happened to the 14 plate buses?

What route?

What's happened to the 14 plate buses?

Which 14 plate buses?

Preston is currently receiving its part of the 2014 national Stagecoach order. Two Solo SRs are in service on routes 150/1 with three of the four E300s out on route 3. The three E200s are yet to appear in service, although they did seen use at the Open Golf championship last month.

I was in Carlisle on Wednesday 20th August around midday and:
• One of the S-KRM Volvo coaches arrived in Carlisle on the 554 Keswick dep 10.35 Carlisle arr 11.45
• An Olympian was working the 600 - 11.28 arrival or 11.40 departure.

I went over to Sainsbury’s and so took a walk round the outside of Carlisle depot:
• Parked along the side and in 2 lines with the pink open top ex-Uno Plaxton President Trident were 2 * W-DNO MPDs, 2 * R-XVM B10Ms and what appeared to be all the S-TRJ ex Manchester MANs. One of the K-DAO B10M school runners was also parked in the same area.
• Inside the depot one ALX single decker was visible – so I am guessing it was not another S-TRJ ex-Manchester MAN but probably the 22269 X269MTS
• Short red ex-London Trident 17561 LV52USF was in the outer paintshop/bodyshop
• Short red ex-London Trident, with set back centre door, and a lot of dark blue paint (for Manchester Magic Bus?) on the nearside, in the inner paintshop/bodyshop – no id as internal door obscuring number plate – 17522?
• 16534 was in one of the pits – looking very nice after it's repaint into the Lakeland green open top colour scheme
• 2 * 59 plate MANs over the pits
• the 554 route branded Trident was over the pits.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

The post below is on Thursday 28 August and got merged into the post above by the double post prevention system.

At Brampton Sands, an 05 dart was operating the 15.45 Newcastle -> Carlisle (arr 17.56) today (Thursday) - an unusual working as this is the first time in 2 years I have seen an 05 dart on a Newcastle round trip working. Usually I have only seen one of these on a Sunday on one of the Hexham round trips.

Ex Cumbria K714 DAO, K715 DAO, K718 DAO, K724 DAO and M235 TBV have been purchased by Reays, with new to Ribble (Manchester) L341 KCK. L341 has a small claim to fame, being the first B10M/PS new to Ribble, and has attracted a lot of interest from enthusiasts/preservationists.

I had heard that DJ International were getting rid of their K---DAO PS's but there wasn't a date on when they were going.

They went like the proverbial of a shovel, although 724 is in a bit of a state...

Preston's new E300s are receiving route branding for route 3 Bus Station - Penwortham, although the example I spotted leaving the bus station this afternoon was on a different route.

Chorley have Dart 34744 in service, first noted last Thursday.

Middleton should only be getting cascaded E200s from Stockport who are getting new 64 plate examples.

Surprised the Primos haven't gone yet as well.

Alexander strider B10Bs 21004 and 21005 have left for barnsley,22495 entered service today and for some reason 16670(S904 JHG) has appeared in the yard.

Out in service today with local fleetnames.

With this and the two blue ones, is Morecambe the only depot whose step-entrance allocation seems to be going up?

Dont think we are due any newbies or second hand buses.
We must be the only depot that goes backwards instead of forward, we have 10 step-entrance volvo deckers,16795 is the only blue one left but should go for repaint when 16793 comes back.
6 wifi deckers are going to scotland for the ryder cup, apparently getting 6 to cover and 34705 is out on the road but will mostly be on ingletons.
