A bit "steep" for a 7 year old timetable that they failed to sell..... But will probably cost much more in 2067 as a "collector's item".

It will have been bought 'firm sale' and nobody will have thought towards the end of the period 'perhaps we'd better try and sell it off before it goes out of date'. I've been guilty of the same lethargy - anyone for a copy of Gardens Open 1999?!

That £7 is a bit on the high side for me, but I might go up to £2 as an investment :)

I'm surprised it isn't still on the main shelves at full price.

WHSmith don't seem too hot on discounting old stuff until it's far too late, and then when they do don't discount enough so I bet a lot of stuff is never shifted. You'll see 2017 diaries that'll be about £1 off now, when in reality they should probably cost no more than £1.

I picked up a copy of the Winter 2011-12 Thomas Cook European Rail Timetable in amongst other rail books in the transport section of WHSmith in Stirling's Thistkes shopping centre. Took it to the till expecting to pay full price, the cashier scanned AND sold it too me for the princely sum of two pence! That was last October as well.

That's right about diaries and calendars, who wants a diary for half price in August.

Waterstone's are the same though - they'll have some 2011 yearbook in their 'bargain' box at half or quarter price, usually dog-eared, when in reality it should be binned or offered free with any purchase.

Sadly that would be me. Or used to be me as I inevitably end up using them as Notebooks for days that had too much going on that I couldnt transfer to electronic copy right there and then...

HAndy when that cheap
