In Pink Floyd's The Wall what is heard but not seen & why?

I'm not sure and I haven't seen the film for a while now but I'll have a guess that when the little boy says "Look Mummy, there's an airplane up in the sky".
You don't actually see the plane because maybe they couldn't hire one for some reason?

Islington Green School students?
Thats the answer. Although the kids sing on the record and the soundtrack because they didn't hold Equity cards they weren't allowed to appear visually. The kids seen in the promo are all Equity card holding stage school kids. Your wall.

Next question:

The planes in these photographs bear the markings of which air force?

I think that they are the markings worn by the British planes of the Pacific Fleet in 1944 / 1945.

The red circle in the standard RAF roundel was removed and the horizontal lines added to make sure that the planes weren't mistaken for Japanese and fired upon by friends.

That's correct, your turn...

Two days without a question so here's one to keep things going:

What do the following have in common?

a bird of the crow family
an eating disorder
a unit of measurement
a font
a town in Chile
a village in Cumbria

The word "Pica" is in one way or another, applicable to all of them.

Well, the film was, I think, made by Handmade Films, which was George Harrison's company, so was it George himself?

Thank you; which film featured sequences filmed at the following places?

The Great St Bernard Pass, Aosta, Italy;
Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin, Ireland;
Denbigh Close, Notting Hill, London;
The Crystal Palace Sports Centre.

Should be easy enough, I think - I'll be back tomorrow morning to check if I'm right!

The Italian Job?

I t think that it would last long .... and I was right! The 1960's caper film is yours, sir!

Wish I'd thought of that.

You have my sympathy .... better luck next time!

Just for the record (and according to those nice people over at Wikipedia), these were what these locations were used for in the film:

The opening sequence of the film featuring Beckermann driving his Lamborghini Miura through The Alps was filmed on the Great St Bernard Pass, Aosta, Italy, with the opening scene featuring the Dardanelli Viaduct constructed in 1961.

The interior of the prison that held Bridger was Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin, Ireland. (As an aside, I took a tour of the prison some years ago and, when we walked into the hall where the long flight of stairs are, I thought: "I've been here!" .. but of course, I hadn't (honest, guv!) - I'd just seen it so many times in the film!)

Denbigh Close, Notting Hill, W11, was used as the location for Croker's (Michael Caine) home.

The attempt to blow the doors off the bullion van, which led to its destruction and Croker's famous line, took place at Crystal Palace Sports Centre.

That was a lucky guess, I thought The Great St Bernard Pass, Aosta, Italy might have been where the bus went over the cliff edge. I didn't have a clue about the other locations.

Next question:

Doug Bower and Dave Chorley - what is their claim to fame?
