Evening folks.

Does anyone know the answers to these questions:

1) Which standard gauge preserved line has the most open stations (including rarely used halts)?
2) Same question again but which narrow gauge line?
3) Which line has the longest distance between two open stations?

I’ve been trying to work it out for a bit and thought I’d ask you knowledgeable types.
I think for question 2 it might be The Welsh Highland which looks to have around 14/15 stations.
Thanks for any replies.

I'm guessing question 1. Will be the West Somerset with 9? Haven't really got a clue on the others though.

Edit: just another guess, but the North Yorks Moors line stations seem quite sparse for its length so perhaps somewhere on there for question 3?

The Talyllyn has 12 stations and halts- a lot for only a 7.25 mile narrow gauge line.

I think the section of the Mid Hants between Alton and Medstead is about 4 miles which is quite a good distance.
The West Somerset seems to be in the lead with 11 open stations.
I don’t have any books that list the mileages unfortunately .

That is a lot. I’m surprised by that.

The Manx Electric railway if you can count that as a 'preserved' railway and if you include all the little halts that are just a sign on a pole...
