Northern Bell 57312 - Wreath ?

I was watching a couple of videos on Youtube yesterday which shows 57312 in Northern bell livery dragging 82136. On the front of the 57 was a wreath - anyone know what significance the wreath is ??

Is that definitely a wreath, not just a headboard mounted over the coupler?

I was going to suggest that the 82 was dead!

I have no idea - I'm just going by what the originator put on his video, it looks like a circular wreath to me

I stumbled on a further video where it passed Tamworth, which is on the same route to Kingsbury where all the old Eurostars are being scrapped. It's hard to see the wreath in the video

Nice picture. I've sent an e-mail to Belmond to enquire if they can do some digging - I'm not holding my breath given that it's probably low on their priorities - but you never know

Belmond sold their shares in the Northern Belle to West Coast last year.

DRS haulage changing to WC?

Yes, I think that’s been confirmed, and the Belle set is now under refurb at Carnforth.
