Evening Clydefrog. I've also been given 9th April at Coventry as a start date for signalling school and will be going to TBROC too.

Hey Pete, Big Congrats! I remember we went for interview about the same time. I will be seeing you 10am on the 6th before we move off on 9th. Do you know whether we are leaving for Coventry a day before the school starts or will it be the 9th?
Congrats as well Clyde. Have read a few posts from you and have enjoyed your contribution. Looking forward to meeting you next month.

Was hoping somebody could give me some quick advice in relation to the interview structure, I have my first interview this coming week and just doing some study in preparation but was just wondering how much detail do the interviewers expect when it comes to knowledge of the safety aspect around NR and also in relation to performance stats and knowledge around future plans of the business?

Hi Alan77,

They are very intrested in people that have done the research on the health and safety aspects. Learn the nwr life saving rules and the everyone home safe everyday rules. Try and bring it up in interview if they dont ask. They wont care about stats but they may ask where you think network rail is heading as a company and what there aim is.

Also read the entire thread on here called “a career as a signaller” its long But it has all the information you need on there as to interview structure. Theres 8 non technical skills. Search for that on that thread aswell.

Good luck

Hi Chaps, has anyone got anymore information on what day they will be going to the ROC? I just recieved an email from my current Lom saying i will be released 31st march and then needed up the roc for 3 days and off to babcocks training center for 2 days after that. Apparently the national rules for the aprenticeships have changed and those extra days are required.
I believe the ROC Lom is on A/L till tues but would be intresting to hear what you guys have been told. PM me if its better for you.

And hello ogbummadu it will be good to meet you aswell mate.

Thanks

First I've heard of it! I got a call from a different Lom to the one I've been speaking to asking me to come to the ROC on Tuesday 3rd rather than 4th as planned but I haven't been asked to do anything else!

Hi guys, congratulations to all those who passed the interview. I have one on Thursday and I have tried twice without any luck to visit three bridges ROC, I have the LOMs number but it keeps going to voicemail, was told that she was on leave and would be back today, the number is still switched off. I just want to know a few things like who their Train operating companies are, how many panels they have and the locations they have bcos I’ve been asked these questions at other interviews, if anybody can offer any type of information it will really be appreciated. Thanks

With the new 12 week programme - you can pass out whenever you're ready, and perform overtime once passed out - but you will remain on grade 7 money (with shift enhancements) for 12 months. You also cannot move from three bridges until your 12 months are up!

So you pass out for the workstations, but still get 'Grade 7' money for a year ?? The not moving bit I follow, that applied in BR days
