Pretty gutted today, I was waiting at Leicester Braunstone (Hand Luggage Only) and the 07.05 440 service (05.55 ex Derby 07.00 ex Leicester St Margaret's) failed to call. I was at the stop from about 06.50 with a pre-booked ticket. Eventually I went back home as the next scheduled service isn't till 08.30 with a VCS arrival at 11.20, 2 hours after my scheduled arrival. I was going to the Epping and Ongar Railway Green Line Running Day. Got through on twitter after 08.00 but not really resolved until I tried on the phone and it was found that the coach had left Leicester via a different route and forgotten to call. Mistakes happen but ruined a day out

That is not a mistake that incompetence, especially since your PRE Booked and it should have been stated in the ticket log whos booked on where.

No excuse for it, unless for an emergency/unforseen event. Happened in reverse to me on a NX service to Luton. I was the only one getting off the coach from Heathrow. The coach turned into the Interchange, it DIDN'T pull into any stop and drove straight out. I thought something was up so went down the front and the driver was a bit of an a*se. He blamed me and said he called for Luton on the PA. Yeah you did mate, but you didn't stop at all and drove straight back out again.

That’s awful to hear, hopefully you’ll be able to come down for another bus event soon, Detling and Brooklands Spring Gathering are both on the first weekend in April, Detling on Saturday and Brooklands on Sunday.

Been on the 440 a couple of times that has taken a different route in to / out of the city to avoid Narborough Rd and therefore the Braunstone stop. Heading down Hinckley Rd to the outer ring then onto M1 J21, and on one occasion heading north up Anstey Lane and onto the A46 / M1 J21A. This was all around the time the Fosse Park roundabout had the roadworks on a couple of years ago. No excuse for what happened to you though.

Iirc all national express coaches are tracked and recorded, so the Twitter team could have checked.
Yep the NX team were very good, organised a refund and they were able to tell the route taken from Leicester, and plenty of apologies
