So if the 34 come back there would need to match it up with 81s.. Still think 33 should go and make 81 every 30mins.

Why is that depot always short staffed.... The managed has changed so the only possibility are the staff with the depot?

Why would Aberhill get more B9 coaches?

Surely hourly 33 and hourly 81 would make more sense unless I'm missing the point?

On the subject of rumours - 77s going back to Arbroath and Perth getting involvement on 39s apparently...

Aberhill still short of coaches. The talk was thes new 63 plate or newer would be placed on x27 freeing up the b13 to displace older b9 coaches and plug gaps.

Yes a joint 33 and 81 would be better. It used to be that years ago.

Surprised that Strathtay took it on themselves. Always worked better when it run by both Perth and Strathtay.

Are we going to see a reversal of a lot of the recent cuts by the sounds of things?

There has been some reversal of some cuts but don't count the chickens just yet. West Fife tenders are due out in August, and only Bay travel and Stagecoach have won work.

There is only Bay and Stagecoach running at the moment is there not?

Do we know who has won what yet?

Bids went in from A1, M&W and First....

We do not know who was has thus making it harder to know what suggest/idea/ company concept will be used. its possible Bay and stagecoach could both for 87 or 81 but on different ideas.

You'd have though A1, M&W and First would be out of the question given the dead mileage that'd be involved

On the subject of tenders - M&W start the Monikie burler from next Monday (25th)

Not running to time, a lot of North East folk moaning because it doesn't go into the bus station. Also hearing rumours about the 34 coming back, replacing the x37 to the retail park and on to Lochgelly/Ballingry, presumably replacing one of the 33s, freeing up a Dunfermline driver (they are still struggling for numbers) and 53/x53/x42 or whatever they call it this time although Stagecoach still deny that one on social media.
anymore news on changes comeing up in may

I had it on good authority that a consultation was to be available in March sometime, for changes to come into effect at the end of May. Time is running out for this, however, so plans may have changed.

One person I spoke to has suggested the 41A could move from M&W to Stagecoach as well.

I don't know if this is related to the 41A and 64 rumours, but one Saturday, M&W were having to use a white tri axle coach on the M4 service, on one of the diagrams. This despite the vehicle allowance on the licence going up to 110 in January. Same day, a Stagecoach driver was spotted by my mum and myself on another M4 working.

Looks like another 59 plated E300 has came to Perth from Dunfermline. 27603 has been on the 15A the last couple of days. The 63 plated E300s seem to be increasing in numbers as well. 27911 was out Crieff/Braco way this morning as well.

27603 is one of nine to transfer Aberhill to Perth

The silly thing is really the 32 and 33A leaving Kirkcaldy together and the 32 and 33 coming into Kirkcaldy within a few minutes of each other. A 34 following the X37 route would at least offer a 'fast' service from Lochgelly and Cardenden, i.e. one not going through the Vic.

The offical docs state only BAY and Stagecoach has won the work. It's unclear what routes have been given to whom on what ideas. With anything else it's a complete lotto at the moment if any thing is true.

Any hints whether stagecoach has gained/lost anything from the forthcoming angus council tenders?

Also, understood there are some E400s due for aberhill from newcastle with some tridents already left aberhill due to their age

Perth's 19366 has now left and transferred to Fife. Not sure what depot it's ended up at and it must of only happened in the last fortnight as it's not on the P11 fleetcard.

Trident's that went to Fife seem to be making their way back to Perth ironically.

Only for a week or two as Perth need it for the schools going back!

18114/18115 and 18352/18353 have swapped Blairgowrie to Glenrothes which I believe is permanent.

Nothing coming from Newcastle, some ex-London Scania Omnicities being single doored and some new E400MMCs due.

No, should have chosen my words better - for the most part those E400MMCs are in service, but the resultant cascades are still yet to happen.

Perfect, thanks for confirming.

Are you able to say whether East Scotland are due any more new vehicles this financial year?

Another stray Trident has turned up at Perth. 18099 was on Service 15 this morning. I wonder if Fife can be generous enough to give Perth some newer E400s instead of 15 year old Tridents...
