Class 320s
Class 334s aren't so bad either. Everybody always forgets about them as they only really operate one route.

The production Deltics
Bugatti nose P2
Peppercorn A2
King Arthur

Plus... 423 4-VEPs just because I miss them a lot! ;)
Well if drafts and uncomfortable 3 x 2 seating are your thing... o_O

... Deltics and other eary diesels look to me like scaled down American locos to me and look crude and ugly, but without the size and scale of their American cousins to generate a sense of awe.
I can only assume you never witnessed four at a time thundering away at the country end of King's Cross? Awe was probably the most apt word...

I find the front looks like a slipper or an Easter Island statue.

I think it's a more streamlined 1990's interpretation of Kenneth Grange's HST. If a diesel-electric version was produced today I would expect SO MUCH JOY from this forum.

The Eurostar 373 power cars were updated from the external design of the Class 93 (The insides were TGV tech). It's covered in the InterCity book.
I've always wondered how good a representation you could get in model form with a Hornby 373 and a MkIV rake (plus filler!)
