Hello all,
Having gone out to see the Great Britain XII Railtour today (Day 8), I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts / information which they would like to express here, or maybe people would just like to talk about the railtour.
I'll start the conversation by mentioning the fact that today's railtour was two hours late by the time it reached Banbury (where I waited for over two hours to see it) and was cancelled between Reading and London Paddington. I know why the railtour was delayed; it was due to trespassers on the line between Derby and Birmingham (according to the BBC News). However, I am unsure why the railtour was cancelled beyond Reading apart from the line on RTT saying that there was a fault with the engine ("Flying Scotsman").
If anyone has any ideas on this subject, or if they just want to talk about the subject, then please go ahead. Or tell me if this is a rubbish idea and is in the wrong sub-forum.
-Peter
