I still don;t get why LCB does not start a service to Edinburgh North or Hermiston, thats where the car drivers are going. LCB don't want the hard work.

Only the concession pass will use the ex service because they have to pay peak times on the train

Not sure how many empty buses West Lothian can actually cope with ..

Don't worry Lothian going to give it, it's best try. However I believe the new routes are going down the Motorway so all parts of WL are being covered. It still Madness X18 is still running, the muppets in control just can't admit LCB routes are crap... Extend EX1 to Armandale, and revised the 287 to go to Armandale and Whitburn.

It wont matter where they extend things or add things ,West Lothian will only ever have a limited amount of Public transport users and there is no "boom time" or Tourist industry nor any nightlife to speak off ,it is what it's always been .
These latest "innovations " dragged from an Eastern Scottish scrapbook of yesteryear reek of absolute desperation .

Every time LCB shots itself in the foot. Anyone with brains would have gone after the 38 route, when it was every 30mins. Now first has made it every 15mins again ( it really doesn't need) LCB has mist the boat.

Which route? I’ve seen some on the 43 but that’s pretty common tbf, if it was the West Lothian services then that’s a surprise
It's not completely unknown to have a double deck maroon vehicle on the 43, but I'd say somewhat rare rather than pretty common. I do see the MacMillan branded vehicle quite regularly (Hamish) but that's about it. Perhaps you've noticed the Lothian Buses 63 route on which double deck maroon vehicles (rather than single deck mostly white) are certainly pretty common in my experience.

Having had a quick look at the tracker, it appears that 427 is on the 275 just now and 446 was on the 287 earlier today.
I was driving, maybe seen one on two bits of same route.

On another note, First took part in the Bathgate Procession yesterday (sent one of the Streetlites with West Lothian’s friendliest driver) and I believe provided transportation for it. Surprised LCB weren’t there promoting their new coaches.

If first sell off West Lothian and Stagecoach, Arriva or the the Go Ahead group are interested it could get very interesting...

Stagecoach might run into competition concerns? Arriva or Go Ahead are unknown in the area, buying a small depot far from any other operation would leave them in a very weak position to compete with Lothian.

Given that Arriva are to be sold by the end of the year i can't see them expanding at all in the UK for the foreseeable future.
