Here we go for a look round the delightful historic quays of Portsmouth (or whatever there is to do, I don't know ) before boarding the 23:59 Wightlink service to Fishbourne, arriving at 00:44 early Friday morning.

Edit: turns out this involved a 0.5 miles walk to Wightlink Gunwarf Terminal, not that it makes any difference to anything!

Although there are other buses from Valley, we are too far out to walk to the bus stops. Instead, we have an overnight break and walk to the railway station in the morning (10 minutes). There, we board the 04:32 Transport for Wales service to Llandudno Junction, arriving there at 05:13 on a Saturday.

I assume then in this game, we can ignore the fact that the line has been closed since March, and we just go by what is actually in the published timetable?

I did wonder that, but TfW have still published a timetable for it so I'm going off that . Also I think the replacement buses run to similar times.

From Blaenau Ffestiniog, we board the 09:00 Llew Jones Coaches service 1S to Nasareth Capel Nazareth, arriving at 09:55 Saturday morning.

Fair enough, I certainly wasn't trying to make an issue of it, just wondered what the precedent would be!!

According to bus times the 1S only runs on a Sunday.

A bit mysterious as the timetable on their website gives no days of operation! https://llewjones.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/1s-Caernarfon-Porthmadog-Blaenau-Ffestiniog.pdf
Google would appear to agree that it only runs Sundays, the timetable is bizarre that it doesn't say so though!

I reckon it's easier to just try again on another route!

Here we board the 09:00 Arriva Wales service 3B to Pentrefelin, Yr Hen Efail, arriving at 09:46 Saturday morning.
