Hi I’m wondering where the best place is to try and ride a pacer this summer preferably in the north or England

Leeds, Newcastle, York or Darlington all seem to see their fair share of Pacers throughout the day.

If you grab a GM Rail Ranger and head to Victoria you're sure to see one soon enough. Also common on the Marples out of Piccadilly though you also get 150s.

Also on the Oxford Road - Liverpool via Warrington stoppers can have Pacers popping up

Head to Preston. 99% certain to see one working to Ormskirk, Colne or Blackpool South within a couple of hours!

I think it’d probably be Newcastle for easiness if they get enough pacers? I’d quite like to try them before they get retired, up in Scotland we don’t get them

If you have a look through this thread you might gain some useful knowledge. It may be better to concentrate on the later posts as Pacers have reduced on some routes.

Though of course you're getting "bogied Pacers" i.e. 153s
Refurbished though and hopefully not so dog-boxy
