Also for what it's worth, I've seen some signs where the old Serco-Abellio franchise's logo is plainly visible still (i.e. where the sticker has come off). There's a faded one at Gilberdyke, but one in pretty much pristine condition at Nafferton which I attached below. It was taken in February but I passed through there yesterday and it was in just as good condition.IMG_0505.JPG

Brilliant station name, hope the service isn’t ‘naff’ though!

First great western branding remains at many stations too with only the off station being GWR branded

Oh no! It says 'northern' rather than 'northern' (in a different font). How do passengers cope? Dozens must miss their stop on a daily basis, not realising that this is where they are meant to get off.

Someone got their sweets stolen from them today.

Lovely new sign at Shireoaks.
White logo and white name on white tape on the white strip at the bottom of the station name

To all who seem to think I'm an idiot for wanting an operator name on the station sign. In an ideal world all station signs would look the same. However we are under a franchised system where every other TOC (and Network Rail) seems capable of putting their name on a sign - its just some sort of consistency.

I'm sure nobody thinks you are an idiot, some of us just have a different opinion. I am equally annoyed that perfectly good signs are thrown away in other parts of the country and don't think anything other than the station name (and possibly "changed here for xxx") belongs on a station sign.

And don't get me started about those ridiculous "Home of XYZ" straplines you get on some station signs!
