Northern operates more stations than any other single TOC in the UK. So, how many stations cannot be reached directly or with a single change from any Northern-managed station?
I would suggest most of the Marston Vale line, though I'm ready to be proven wrong.

- Light-rail/metro is valid as long as you start and finish at a national rail station.
- You can walk between Kings Cross and St Pancras without it counting as a change
Examples:
- Norwich is accessible without changing because the East Midlands Trains Liverpool-Norwich service calls at Northern-operated Manchester Oxford Road
- Cam and Dursley is accessible in one change because the Aberdeen to Penzance service calls at Morpeth, so Cam and Dursley can be reached by changing at Bristol.
- Heathrow Central is accessible in one change because various services serve Kings Cross from Northern stations, and it's then possible to change to the Piccadilly Line
- Covent Garden doesn't count due to not being a national rail station
- Stourbridge Town is not accessible because all routes from every Northern station require more than one change.
