185,350 - TPE
HST/153 - EMT

Can't think of anymore for Piccadilly.

On my initial list, I added:
XC: 220
Northern: 331, 153 (used to strengthen some services)
Plus (if appropriate):
Metrolink: M5000

I had also double counted TFW 158's as well as Northern's, and saw a TPE 397 (but that was not in passenger service).

As noted above - the unusually large number of types is due to the fleet changeover at Northern and will decrease.

Still it does appear Leeds has the largest number of types in a single day.

Some of the stations mentioned also have freight trains running through them e.g. Manchester Piccadilly. So for there we could add Class 66/86/90.

Newcastle has just 11.

Northern
142
156
158

LNER
91
43
800
801

TPE
185
802

XC
220
221
43 (already counted in LNER)

As a bonus - numerous misc freight - regularly see 37/56/60/66/67/68/70/88 and 57's on approx twice a month charters

I don't know York well enough but they should have all the above plus a few additional types. Carlisle may also do quite well.

How about the Hudds stoppers? I presume they will still be 185s. And I don’t think all the Middlesbrough ones are going to be 68s.
Off-topic, but essentially the 185s will run:
  • MIA-Cleethorpes;
  • MAN-Hull;
  • MAN-LDS (stopper);
  • ...and the balance of Middlesbrough and Scarborough services which don't get Mk5As. Along with possibly/probably taking over LIV-NOT from EMR.
