It's working all day. Instead of stabling it replaced 142022 from Middlesbrough on 2D22 0911 Bishop Auckland - Saltburn. It's subsequent workings are:Can anybody confirm if 142 090 is actually stabled ? It is my last 142 for haulage. I was up in the area yesterday but it wasn't out playing. I would really appreciate any info on its workings. The car is fuelled and ready for the 80 mile drive...

Just seen 142046 at Lancaster whilst passing on 350409 heading back to ManchesterAn 80 mile drive to ride on a pacer you not been on before but is exactly the same as all the other ex northern spirit pacers! Each to their own I suppose...
Just to keep on topic with the thread 142046 is on the Morecambe branch today.

It's working all day. Instead of stabling it replaced 142022 from Middlesbrough on 2D22 0911 Bishop Auckland - Saltburn. It's subsequent workings are:
2D19 1044 Saltburn - Bishop 1205
2D36 1211 Bishop - Saltburn 1333
2D31 1344 Saltburn - Bishop 1505
2D48 1511 Bishop - Saltburn as far as Darlington (1538) where it swaps diagrams on to:
2D35 1444 Saltburn - Bishop 1605 (from Darlington at 1540)
2D52 1611 Bishop - Saltburn 1733
2D47 1744 Saltburn - Bishop 1905
2D64 1911 Bishop - Saltburn 2033
2D59 2047 Saltburn - Darlington 2144
After 142030 had terminated in Platform 3 I noticed on the Open Train Times signalling map that it was given a 5T04 headcode which is the sort of code (5Txx) they use for movements to Tees Yard for fuelling so maybe it was low on fuel. Many thanks for sharing this information. I intercepted it at Darlington at 16:40 and am very happy indeed. I know some people would think me crazy (my wife first and foremost !) but compared to the challenges the IOW austerity 'Waggoner' presented this was reasonably sane..
Anyway getting back on topic does anyone know the operational reasons why the sets swapped at Darlington ? 142 030 on terminated the 15:00 from Redcar (not Saltburn due to late running) in platform 3. 142 022 which had been reported as stabled at Darlington took the 15:40 service on to Saltburn from platform 2 whilst 142 090 returned to BA instead of 142 030 going forward. It seems odd that two train loads of passengers had to swap between sets. Even the traincrew of 142 030 did not know of the swap until they reached Darlington. 142 030 was still in the bay platform at 18:40 but had gone by 19:40.
Until it expired before taking the 1749. It seems to still be in Lancaster P1 this morning. It was eventually replaced by a 156 nicked off a Barrow diagram.142046 was on the Lancaster to Morecambe shuttle all day supplemented by other units coming across from Leeds.

Pacer. Don't know which though. Is a 156 on the branch today or another pacer? Must be quite a serious issue if they could not use the 156 to rescue the failed 142 like they did when 142047 failed at Bare Lane not too long ago. Typical ex merseyrail junk!
What service is 021 on?Around Middlesbrough today were 142021/30/90 and 93.
