Any sightings of a 755/3 on mileage accumulation yet?
755336 has been out and about this week. Yesterday (31st) it did a Crown Point to Harwich Int and back Norwich at least, with the pan up. May have done more but I'd gone home by early afternoon.

336 was misbehaving in diesel mode earlier this week. Good to see it's out & about again.

Norwich to Cambridge (or Ely at weekends at the moment) seems to be exclusively 755 now.

Yes I think there is the odd 156, but I haven't seen or travelled on one on that route for about a month now.

755419 disgraced itself causing Wherry Line chaos tonight. Eventually terminated Acle almost an hour after departing Norwich.

According to the latest GA comment (sic)
Each week we can only test one route in detail and this also needs to be planned around other Network Railway maintenance work.

Is Network Rail engineering work a barrier to the roll out of these trains and is the ability to only test one route a week a real factor on the slow roll-out?

So just to confirm, there have been no additional delays with the units having one single door, correct?

Just had my first trip on a “Basil” and found the ride to be nervous, sitting above the bogie there was lots of oscillations

I'm not sure why the 755s have earned this epithet (assuming it's a Fawlty Towers reference), their MTIN figures are seemingly comensurate with those of other newly introduced fleets.

The V shape of the yellow and general look reminds me of a Adder, or its American cousin, the Viper

It is and they haven't. Some people have tried to give that name to every new unit since the Sprinters.

Not in my experience. Any slight increase in boarding time is more than made up for by the improved acceleration and braking performance. For example, it's possible to depart Attleborough on time and then have to sit at Thetford for a minute or two waiting departure time, and the same again at Brandon, and often several minutes wait at Ely. I don't recall this ever happening with 170s.
The doors are very wide and once one end of the coach has emptied, people can start boarding that side whilst the people still alight from the other side.
