I don't know why they didn't settle on blue to the lower deck windows and red between decks with the rest white. Single deckers blue to the top of wheel-arches, red roof and the rest white. This would have been easier to apply and helped minimise dirt on the lower panels. Just a suggestion.
Maybe in the 70s or 80s, but that wouldn't really suit modern buses and would look pretty outdated.
I wonder if the reason why they're doing it is actually that now Souter has gone the other senior management want to put their stamp on it, and the rest of the wibble about reasons for it is just a justification to do something they wanted to do anyway.
You're probably right. To be fair i've grown to quite like the coach livery although i'm still not 100% on the gold, the "local" and "specialist" gimmicks just look rancid though and my hatred for them is getting stronger each time i see them. The E200 particularly annoys me as the livery application is wrong in pretty much every way. I don't mind them changing the colour scheme and think it was a welcome move, but the fact they actually paid someone to design those liveries templates is worrying.
Although i do think much of their work these days can be too repetitive, i would agree with comments mentioned earlier that if Best Impression had done the new liveries they would've came up with something far more eye catching.
