I'm glad we've finally got a photo. Is it definitely red? Maybe it's just the photo quality, but it looks quite pinky to me, somewhat reminiscent of First's Barbie colours...

In all honesty, I don't think it's that bad. It's nowhere near as nice as the current Airlink livery, which is one of the smartest around. Maybe it'd look better if the dark blue was brought into line with the bottom edge of the lower deck windows.
I agree, it’s not that bad. It says on the tin what it does. Certainly eye-catching, more so than the standard Airlink livery which kind of blends into the background now.

The competitor’s livery and vehicles are pretty functional and nothing special (apol. off topic)

I actually think it stands out a bit more than the current livery. The current livery, especially in the evenings, on the current vehicles can end up looking like a coach, especially as it shares a lot of its stops with Citylink.

I always preferred the lighter blue liveries, much more eye catching and stood out.

I'm sure this is what Richard Hall wanted. I think it works well this way, makes it really seem like a proper offering and not a local bus.

LCB 936 Has been repainted, not sure about the others though...
936 was repainted well over a year ago for East Coast buses when it was still a full time vehicle there. The transfer of 1051-1062 freed 841-850 and 935/6, but 936 stayed on to allow for the completion of East Coast buses repaints. It was taken of while the final bus (945) was away for paint. 935 came off earlier due to an accident. It only had a change of vinyls before moving (back) to Lothian Country. Here is an image of it from November 2022 from Flickr.
Technically, 932-935 have been repainted - into white! They aren't going dark green.

1035, 1036, 1038, 1047 and 1048 have gained 'T' advert frames.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here, but 906 is at Seafield as well now joining 905, 926, 928 and 931 as of Friday.

- New Post -
1107 is away for repaint now, yet another Enviro400 XLB.

First time in a while one has been taken to Newbridge pre-painting. Hopefully it continues on its way with a Lothian Motorcoaches driver soon.

Seen a photo of Lothian Tarten Moquette for sale reminds me of 112 & 572.

930 is painted white with "Lothian" (not Country) branding at Central.
Was waiting for the post. I've already seen a photo of it but can't share. I've heard that the BZL order might be taking longer than expected. I'm guessing the rest are also going white (possibly even 905/6) with plans for a service increase in due course.

Are the Volvo BZLs meant to be replacing the 11-plate Gemini 2s? If so, can we see the X31 (which only ever uses those G2s on its last morning journey & sometimes it’s second last morning run) ever using BZLs on those journeys or will they substitute it with something else

If any buses are replaced it will most likely be 1141-1151 through some shuffling. The BZLs aren't directly replacing any buses and service increases coming up makes it even more likely that only a few will go.

The only reason the first X31 is always a 600 as it goes off service from the West End to do 37s, and is out until after midnight.

The BZLs will probably end up on everything at some point, but probably not the boards that are out for 18-20 hours.

Just seen a Gemini 2 pass by me with what looks like a different destination display- had a slightly different font and a via point below. Anyone know about this?
