You possibly saw it displaying Bonnyrigg with Hopefield underneath.
I can confirm this as I saw it quite a few times, (both the bus and screen display.)

Dors anyone know an E-Mail address for Lothian Buses to comment about services, drivers and staff? There doesn't seem to be anywhere on the Lothian site for this.

How about the "Feedback on our services" option in the drop-down list on their Contact Us* page? Or one of the other options on that page.

* Accessed via the "Customer Support" link their home page - look for: "Looked for help but still need a hand? Get in touch"

Trying to remember suffix numbers and routes on LRT/Lothian Buses. eg 7A Captians Road to Granton. 14C Muirhouse-Newcraighall via Bonnington, 19A Sunday morning circle. Lots more but I have forgotten.

87A - Seafield or Lochend to Roslin.
88 - Commercial Quay to Penicuik (peaks only), 88A - Commercial Quay to Roslin (also peaks only).

Any idea what 196 is being painted into?
Standard Lothian, ECB, LCB or driver training, or perhaps all white?

Afaik Lothian don’t really have a single decker shortage so would be surprised if it makes a full time return

I haven't heard of there being a shortage of training vehicles, and as you say there's not a shortage of single decks at City at the moment. It could possibly be for a service increase at Country? I know Country had single deckers previously before they cut the service back; those single deckers are now all repainted and in service with City, are they not?
So my guess would be that 195(?)-198 will be painted and go to Country for a service increase, because either there aren't enough 7900s to take over completely from the B7RLEs at City and thus the B7RLEs can't be released to go to Country, or just that they don't want to have to repaint vehicles which have fairly recently been repainted anyway.
That's my guess.

I’d be shocked if 196 returns in anything other than allover white or madder and white. I believe the plan for 195-198 is to replace 15, 23-25 as the route trainers to allow them to return to city operations. There is a slim chance that all 4 get a retrim as well.

If this is true, the future of 1-10 you’d have to say is probably uncertain. There’s still every possibility that all of these extra deckers are coming in temporarily to allow for say the 30 to switch to deckers, likely with another route reduced as well with a concrete fleet from when the BZL’s are out.

I still expect Lothian to bid for and win at least 3 of the contracts, running 2 routes from them. This would be South Queensferry to Chesser and Ratho to City Centre. I don’t expect them to win any other routes, but may bid for a couple more.

Hi. I've been trying to find out what happened to the last batch of Volvo B7RLE Training Buses after they were let go by Lothian - I've looked online, including looking for photos on Flickr - any thoughts would be appreciated. The ones I'm looking for are:

101/TB101 SN04NFZ
102/TB102 SN04NGE
103/TB103 SN04NGF
104/TB104 SN04NGG
105/TB105 SN04NGJ
106/TB106 SN04NGU
193/TB107 RIG6498 (previously SF55HFC)
194/TB108 RIG6490 (previously SF55HFE)

Is there any indication on the first EVs arriving? They must be in build now for a spring delivery?

Also any further work on the repower of open top fleet? Would imagine winter is key time for getting as many done.

The BZLs have been delayed, probably by a month or two as apparently only 15 are completed.

Surprised it got repainted.
If it's because it was already in Madder & White (Swoops), they repainted it because they don't want a bus with that swoops in service again (bar 562 which is currently wrapped anyway). 562 would be repainted into Fleet of the Future (as 926 has) if it were to return to service without a wrap. 927 will most likely be repainted into Madder & White (Fleet of the Future).
