With the Rail strike today, its great to see Wellglade putting on a full service for those people who can't use the train, say on the Kinch 9 or Red Arrow. Oh wait... 5 on the Red Arrow and more importantly 2 on the 9... Do they just not care?
Kinch have had to draft 107, 108, 501(Sort of) and 906 to Skylink (Among other Trent loaners), dropping other "less profitable" services. 128 should hopefully be ready to roll soon. Fingers crossed some of the 29 on-order ADLs will be branded up for Yellow Skylink freeing up 107 and 108 for the 9.

On another note, has the Keyworth service reduction dropped the PVR at all?

No it hasn't, the point of the reduction is to add more time to the timetable to reduce delays, using the same number of buses for a reduction, but more reliable service

Campus shuttle Solo No6 on the Kinch 9 from Nottingham to Loughborough isn't exactly capacious - luckily it isn't very busy!
Its better than no bus at all! Good to see there's now a full service on there!

Must it is a fun sized Solo. Maybe most of the passengers from Loughborough to Nottingham, use NCT now, because it runs.

Maybe the new Enviros will replace many of the current Skylink Enviros to spread the mileage. The Skylinks clock up serious mileage. Think some have overtaken the mileage on the 66 plate batch.

Vectare and CT4N have advertised their services as 'rail replacement' but absolutely nothing from Trentbarton- I just don't understand it?
Yes, but it is Friday in Easter week. Maybe less passengers travelling. Many might just travel another day. Some might drive to Toton and catch the tram, those who have no choice catch the bus. Maybe those who cap weekly/month will give no more, as they are maxed out. All those Notts and Derby buses just sitting in the depot with nothing to do.

Can't really fault the trip - the bus was sufficient for all 10 passengers, clean and well presented and the driver did his best despite the road works on the A60. Just slightly surprised it had escaped!

I suspect there's a bit of truth in people using the 1. Happened to my friend a few times this week, 9 hadn't showed so they just used the 1 instead. Modern deckers well presented by NCT so even if it does take a bit longer it's a decent enough journey.

The 1 has been my primary route to get to Nottingham since 2015 as it runs more frequently and day tickets are cheaper and therefore NCT is more convenient for travelling from Loughborough to places outside Nottingham city centre. It wasn't until last year that I began using the 9 again as I could use £2 fares and it was the first bus of the day I could easily get for exams

Same thing happens on the High Peak 114. It takes passengers from the Swift. Same with Stagecoach X17 from Wirksworth. It is there. With the £2 fare, who would discount it

I guess the good news is that with 712, there are four coaches on Red Arrow. FOUR. Okay, four diagrams missing, but at least people are getting a coach

Just found a reply to a customer on X who wanted to get to the Sherwood area from Derby, asking the best route to make use of the Mango cap.

Trentbarton came back saying use Red Arrow and then... the Stagecoach Pronto of all routes! Does the Calverton not exist? Do the social media staff really not know anything about their routes? I suspect they just went onto Google Maps and the first thing to come up was the Pronto.

Spoke too soon about the 9 being back up to speed, Kinch Solo 479 has apparently broken down on that superbly accessible stretch of road half way down Bunny Hill on the A60. Oops.

I did see that comment, thought it strange you tell people to use/pay another operator. But then I did not know Sherwood area. But it is doubtful it cost TB money as the passenger would have capped. Just ended up paying £4 more.

Actually another thing. I've noticed in the past when there has been a Sunday event in Derby, Markeaton Park, they tell people to catch the Swift. It might be slightly further to walk, but they never mention the half hourly Allestree service that runs the other side of the park

Do we know what routes the 29 ADLs are allocated for, or is this speculation? I've also only read about this order here - has it been announced officially?

Given Kinch are to receive some electric buses following the ZEBRA announcement, there could be some changes to the planned allocation of the 29 ADLs

Yes, 669 is one of the six vehicles on Red Arrow. Amazingly, four are coaches
It was mentioned on a Facebook group that two of the ex Red Arrow Irizar i4 coaches will be going back on the Red Arrow following the delivery of the Enviro200s from Wales- I can't necessarily vouch for that information being correct though!

Well, Taf Valley have withdrawn three of their Enviro 200s. So, they should be on the way

201 and 202 have entered service with NCT. The other two routes (30 & 39) will have electric buses rolled out on Thursday and next Monday, according to the official Nottingham City Transport Fleet News.
201 and 202, the first electric buses for Red 50 have entered service today.

Another route is expected to launch on Thursday, before the last of this batch next Monday.

Noticed red Solos 491 and 499 on the Sixes today. More amazing was that there was a single Versa on the 6.2, improving the service to two hourly

Allestree, Villager, Comet also have had buses missing as well along with the premium single deck route Red Arrow which has 4 spares and 2 coaches on.

Certainly is a fair few routes, all missing buses. I guess things on Skylink Derby will get right seeing as 151 might well have been hit by a car last night. The car didn't look very well. Hit the back of the bus. I guess it can be difficult to see a bright yellow bus.

Whoever was responsible for the Kinchbus timetable changes when they aren't physically able to maintain it- one bus down on every local route today, so about 4 buses below what's needed fir a full service...

You could argue that Trentbarton can't deliver their full service either. I would think over time, prospective passengers finding alternatives.
