Hi all,

I'm looking at changing a ticket from Newcastle to King's Cross on 8-Apr, using a Disabled Person's Railcard.

For 1ST, LNER want to charge £106.35 for the change. But a new ticket is £73.10. Any idea of a fix please?

How many tickets are you changing, and how much did the original/s cost?

Just checking, you bought from LNER, not us? If the latter, I'd have asked the team if there is anything they could have done to help.

My suggestion would be to contact LNER via Twitter; you may get somewhere with it. I can back you up if they fob you off.

Next time, you may want to consider booking through us; we also offer a seat selector, and sometimes we find cheaper splits that undercut the price LNER wants you to pay (and the commision goes towards the upkeep of the forum, rather than contributing towards the bill for weird puppet-like characters who purport to offer freedom as a distraction for taking away ticket freedoms ;))

@OLJR this is why LNER desperately want people to book directly with them, and not through us:
