Have the owners of Dunrobin Castle ever been as awkward as the owners of Altnabreac cottage?

Whilst the owners of Dunrobin Castle were proponents of this railway line, who owns the platform (and adjacent path/land to allow passenger access) at Dunrobin Castle halt?

So far as I can tell, the estate is still in the hands of the Earl of Sutherland - the castle certainly is - so unless the station itself was taken over by the railway at some point, I'd imagine that's the case there as well. The Dukedom of Sutherland became separated from the Earldom of Sutherland in 1963 as the latter can be held by a woman, while the former can't.

One might argue that insisting that the railway provide a station and stop trains at it is pretty awkward, to say nothing of letting the Duke drive trains, but there again the Duke might well point out (and did!) that paying for the railway out of his own pocket in the first case was pretty generous of him.

Since the raison d'etre for reopening Dunrobin Castle station (and no doubt its continued existence) was to encourage visitors, it would be a bit counterproductive to be "awkward" in the way the neighbours at Altnabreac are being.

When was the re-opening date? Most sources seem to say 30JUN1985, but weren't there a number of Sundays only rail excursions from Inverness to Dunrobin Castle in August 1984?
