Same with some of the 17 plate arriva ones around Leicestershire they can get warm.Whenever I've sat at the back of a E200 MMC it always feels very hot from underneath
Infact arrivas 3142 got a bit too hot.

And any other bus...Same can be said about the B7's though...
Depending on the cause of the fire insurance would cover it (third party fire / theft)... this does depend on the cause as I said though.Out of interest with these fires does this leave Trentbarton short of vehicles? If so where would replacements come from?
Who pays for the damage to the road surface due to these fires I'm guessing the bus company but could be wrong?
It was driving (training) around Hucknall on TuesdayNot sure if it has had any use this week but was certainly used last week for CPC training at Langley Mill.
Think 145 will be a perfect replacementNottingham depo won't have many buses left at this rate as all the spare buses will be in use plus the engineering department will be getting a roasting
Which Solo was that?Cottsgrave
Skylink Nottingham
Indigo
My15
My15
Threes
Red arrow spare
ND Omni decker
ND Omni decker
Kinch solo
All these spring to mind as fairly recent fires. Have I missed any off?
Sprint 7Which Solo was that?
No, on any given day Trent Barton have around 40 spare vehicles, today they have 39Out of interest with these fires does this leave Trentbarton short of vehicles? If so where would replacements come from?
Oh, yeah, how did I forget that one?!Sprint 7
I wondered why Notts and Derby were hastily debranding a Versa.. Quick, paint it green. No, on any given day Trent Barton have around 40 spare vehicles, today they have 39
And that doesn’t factor in an older Solo/Solar/Versa still in TB livery with Notts & Derby and TM Travel that could come back
669 just keeps going on and on.And any other bus...

The company pays for damage to road surface / street furniture, though this also can be insurance paid if the fire isn't the fault of the company (depending on if the cost is more than the excess)

Like trainman says, numerous vehicles will be displaced in the coming months, so it might be tight for a while but it should keep everyone happy as 669 is MOTd til December so she might live on a little longer!
I believe they are working on getting busses painted. I think someone mentioned the interdecks will be getting painted in the summer holidays when they’re not needed for school contracts and I would only assume versas and solos are to follow unless they get something better that’s displaced.I wondered why Notts and Derby were hastily debranding a Versa.. I recall several Notts and Derby coaches getting plenty of use throughout the summer. Rail replacement etc. If you are a reliable operator, you are never short of work. "Got a problem no-one can help? Who you going to call?". Why Notts and Derby will deliver.I believe they are working on getting busses painted. I agree that they will still be busy there’s just more flexibility with the vehicles available in school holidays that allow the coaches to be out of service for a week or two to be painted and stickered upI recall several Notts and Derby coaches getting plenty of use throughout the summer. At least two weeks, provided there is capacity in their chosen painting contractors. .They may have other work from other operators too. Never easy to get them doneI agree that they will still be busy there’s just more flexibility with the vehicles available in school holidays that allow the coaches to be out of service for a week or two to be painted and stickered up
I think there’s 2-3 preferred places for painting now but definitely as you say busy with the contractors and their own services along with getting other busses across the Wellglade fleet done. It’s a shame they’re not as lucky as tm travel are every bus they get is in company coloursAt least two weeks, provided there is capacity in their chosen painting contractors. .They may have other work from other operators too. I assume this is a joke? It’s a shame they’re not as lucky as tm travel are every bus they get is in company colours
At least TM Travel 1409 got painted black. Odd now Notts and Derby didn't follow suit.I think there’s 2-3 preferred places for painting now but definitely as you say busy with the contractors and their own services along with getting other busses across the Wellglade fleet done. Yes it’s the running joke that TM only get hand me down busses that they don’t seem to paint apart from the few e400sI assume this is a joke?
Must be time for some fleet additions then, in a different colour.Yes it’s the running joke that TM only get hand me down busses that they don’t seem to paint apart from the few e400s
There is 1405 which is the same style just the red bits are green for ND. Bus hasn’t been seen in a while because it’s being converted to a hybrid or an electric. After 1405 there was 1404 & 1403 they however got placed into the standard new ND colours. At least TM Travel 1409 got painted black. Odd now Notts and Derby didn't follow suit.
The recent problem they’ve faced is the Sheffield euro 6 zone and it’s not the most profitable company in the group so they’ve had a couple of hand downs mainly solos and snx solars from Trent. They also had some ex Stagecoach London solos so they’re as compliant as possible. It’s been going on for years that they get vehicles but they don’t tend to see the paint shop. Most are the colour of the former route/operator just with older stickers removed and a tm travel one slapped on the sideMust be time for some fleet additions then, in a different colour.
And there will be other plaxton coaches displaced for cover...At least two weeks, provided there is capacity in their chosen painting contractors. .They may have other work from other operators too. Never easy to get them done
I think Scania decker 1172 is still in London red. There is 1405 which is the same style just the red bits are green for ND. Tracking on bus times shows 733 arrived into Derby and then on the 1505 it tracked around Uttoxeter town. Unless the ticket machine was faulty it looks like it may have gone empty to Uttoxeter for some reason. As far as I'm aware, the 1505 Swift service from Derby to Uttoxeter didn't operate on Saturday afternoon (10th) Is there any way of finding out why, driver shotage, vehicle failure etc.?
Probably a fault then fast to Uttoxeter down the A50.Tracking on bus times shows 733 arrived into Derby and then on the 1505 it tracked around Uttoxeter town. Unless the ticket machine was faulty it looks like it may have gone empty to Uttoxeter for some reason.

I imagine that's what happened. I was at Derby bus station just after 3pm and a few passengers were waiting at the Swift stand but no bus.Probably a fault then fast to Uttoxeter down the A50.
I have seen the word "cancelled" appear on the large overhead displays. I imagine nobody came out to inform waiting customers because "nobody told them".I imagine that's what happened. I was at Derby bus station just after 3pm and a few passengers were waiting at the Swift stand but no bus.
I thought it was possible to show 'Cancelled' on the departure indicator or at least someone from the Trent office could have come out and told people it wasn't running!
Those screens in the bus station dont like staying connected to the wifi in the bus station so even if we cancel the service on our system half the time it dosent go through to the screens!I imagine that's what happened.
