I don't think that's a fair comparison. Our Sky News might have a right-wing slant but they are definitely a genuine news organisation, in precisely the way that Fox News is not. At least where their (Fox News) night-time offering is concerned: they don't have any news segments, it's all opinion shows.
It nearly became that though in the 2000’s when it was owned by newscorp I mean.

From the BBC:
A Scottish wingsuit flyer has died during a jump in the Swiss Alps. British champion Liam Byrne, 24, was critically injured on the Gitschen mountain on Saturday after taking off from 7,874ft (2,400m).

Of course this is extremely sad. I’ve watched them take off many times when holidaying in the Alps. If any sport comes with a death wish, it’s Wingsuit Flying.

Saw that earlier and while I felt sad reading it, it was also a bit bittersweet.

A few years ago a pal of mine died while scrambling in Eryri/Snowdonia. He was an experienced mountaineer - qualified as a an instructor who could train and assess mountain leaders. Plenty of UK and international experience climbing, walking, scrambling. It was obviously very sad to find out he'd passed, but at the end of the day, he went out doing something he enjoyed and was passionate about, and he did his best.

I feel the same with the The Boy Who Can Fly, he had 4,000 jumps under his belt and was himself a skydiving instructor, clearly knew his stuff. Eventually with extreme sports there's a level of risk which can only be avoided by simply not doing it at all. If I went out this way, I would be content, and I would hope my family and friends would be too. Godspeed, Liam.

'Kardashian of Cheshire' admits luxury handbag scam

https://news.sky.com/story/self-proclaimed-kardashian-of-cheshire-admits-luxury-handbag-scam-13387897
A man who pretended to live a "glamorous and luxurious" lifestyle while he conned people out of thousands of pounds in a designer handbag scam has pleaded guilty to fraud.
Jack Watkin, 26, who once starred in a Channel 4 documentary called Rich Kids of Instagram in 2016, described himself as the "Kardashian of Cheshire", police say.

Maybe it's me but I find it odd that he managed to scam so many people including his own father and was only in his teens and early 20s.

MI6 distances new chief from Nazi grandfather .

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0l406gpydgo

Abridged version here:
Several newspapers reported on Friday that her grandfather was Constantine Dobrowolski, who defected from Soviet Russia's Red Army to become the Nazis' chief informant in Chernihiv, Ukraine.

However, the Foreign Office, which speaks on behalf of MI6, said Ms Metreweli "neither knew nor met her paternal grandfather".

A spokesperson added: "Blaise's ancestry is characterized by conflict and division and, as is the case for many with eastern European heritage, only partially understood.

"It is precisely this complex heritage which has contributed to her commitment to prevent conflict and protect the British public from modern threats from today's hostile states, as the next chief of MI6."

it should be Noted that her grandpa wasn't a normal Nazi. The Soviet Union labelled him “the worst enemy of the Ukrainian people” and issued a 50,000-rouble reward — about £200,000. For his capture. Dead or alive (preferably dead)

Mr Dobrowolski was known as "The Butcher" or "Agent No 30" by Wehrmacht commanders .Archive documents are said to suggest Mr Dobrowolski looted the bodies of Holocaust victims, was involved in the murdering of local Jews, and laughed while watching the sexual assault of female prisoners (witnesses testified that Dobrowolski laughed when told about female detainees being raped, stating he “tolerated these acts without objection.”).

He also reportedly signed off letters to his Nazi superiors with "Heil Hitler" and said he "personally" took part in "the extermination of the Jews".

His extract faith remains unknown As Soviet forces pushed westward in 1943, Dobrowolski arranged a travel pass to extract his wife Varvara and son from Snovsk to Uman, hoping to secure their evacuation from the approaching front.

While his family fled, he remained behind. The last known record in the archives referencing him dates from August 1943, just before Soviet troops retook Chernihiv.

What happened to him thereafter remains unknown (but its pretty safe to say that he was presumably Shot on the spot By Red army forces. He's lucky that his family wasn't there or they whould have been shot aswell)

From Dublin Live: Man refused entry into US as border control catch him with bald JD Vance meme

I read the article & he claims he was forced to take blood samples, fingerprints, facial scanned & strip-searched.
Please understand i do not know the political bias of this news source but thought it was absolutely ridiculous that someone had this happen to them.
TBH, nothing surprises me at the moment in the US. Government backed armed privateers carrying out arrests and detention of citizens seems to be a thing there at the moment.

I'd love to know how a child under 10 even knew how to operate a car, let alone not cause an accident (thankfully):

A woman allowed a girl who was under 10 years old to drive a car through a Scottish village, a court has heard.

Sophie-Leigh Gemmell, 32, admitted culpable and reckless conduct after footage emerged of the incident in Crimond, Aberdeenshire.

The young girl was driving the car barefoot and in bad weather on 10 July last year.

At Peterhead Sheriff Court, sentence on Gemmell was deferred for reports until next month.

Roald Dahl taught one of his daughters to drive at the age of 11. Apparently she then once drove the car into town to get some sweets and broke down, and he didn't care about her driving, but was annoyed that her plea for rescue had interrupted his writing!

Considering how my 9 year old grandson operates the games console handsets, as long as they can reach the controls driving a car would be child’s play (see what I did there).

Many times whilst walking in Austria I’ve seen young children driving off road around alpine farms.

Private Eye's "Nooks & Corners" column reports that Bath's art-deco style fire station is under threat, as Avon Fire & Rescue wants to demolish it and build a replacement on the site. It reports that the Twentieth Century Society is campaigning against the demolition, and has applied to get the building listed.

Presumably this will be one case where a building being considered for listing against its owner's wishes won't be likely to "go on fire" of its own accord?
