There's no way I could claim that as a win... :)

This one is within my hunting ground, although I don't think I'd recognise it.

Gunnersbury is an island platform; I'll enter Hither Green.

OxtedL - there is little point in blanking the unit number; it's clearly a 2 car unit but not a 63xx therefore not the NLL... ;)

Tis neither.

I won't ask how you know it's 2-car.

Not a clue. I'm terrified it'll be blindingly obvious.

Think more central.

Yes - it's blindingly obvious. The inverse black triangle was used to identify the guard box end of the 2 car sets for the purpose of telling the platform staff ( luggage, messages for guard, etc ) which end it was. On a 4 car set there was a box at each end and the guard would be in the back of the train. On a 2 car set running on it's own if the staff saw the triangle they'd know to get to the front...

Anyway, I digress. If it's Central then I'll chuck Carshalton at the thread.

Ah, that explains a few things. You got them on Uckfield 3-cars as well.

Not Croydon, but substantially closer.

Sorry - I edited that very quickly upon seeing the trees...

I'm off now so finally for tonight, if it's not Carshalton I'll thrown in Hackbridge.

Wrong direction. :D I believe it's on a shuttle service.

My first guess...

Purley platform 6

2 EPB working a Purley- Tattenham Corner shuttle or a detached portion from a Charing Cross- Caterham service

Just saw this thread tonight ... looking forward to joining!

What about this one? (Hope it's not too easy!)

Sorry, it should have been an actual station, rather than an approach to a station shouldn't it?!

So I made picture mystery1b.jpg but I although I blocked out the name, it was FAR, FAR too obvious!

So I made mystery1c.jpg, which I hope is less obvious.

Will include pictures upon correct guess (it's not that hard, is it?).

Okay, goodnight (1:18am Seoul/Tokyo time) - see you in the morning!

That looks solid. :)

Something for those not on holiday while we wait for confirmation/dawn in the Far East...

I'm struggling to see anywhere in Quail with the required tunnel. The only place is Fort Matilda, which would make Greenock Central further away from West. That said, the tunnel is very short so maybe doesn't show in Quail. Cartsdyke?

Very, very close again. Technically slightly further away than Greenock Ctl.
