  • Hi Loulou. I've seen your thread on Croydon tramlink, I hope your assessment and interview went well. I have also applied and I've had my driving assessment and interview. In my interview, I thought they said that they would email everyone with a yes or no yesterday (Friday). I've been on the edge of my seat for 3 days now as I've had no email yet I hope you don't mind me asking, have you had an email with a yes or no or do you know when you're expecting an email?

    Hi loulou, I hope you don't mind me asking but have you received an email from southern about passing your assessment day/booking the dmi? If so how long did you have to wait after the assessment day for it? Thanks
    Hi Lou Lou, yes sure the interview is mainly questions about safety and customer service. Define customer service was one question that came up. Also describe a situation when you had too follow set rules and procedures. When you've gone the extra mile. The HR team there are really nice so just be yourself and I'm sure you'll do just fine. Good luck.
    You will get 4 questions first which are not really part of the scoring system.

    1 what do u know about the company.
    2 tell me what appeals to u about this job.
    3 what challenges do u think a driver will face
    4 give an example of when u have done unsociable hours/ shift work.

    Then u have 8 questions which are scoring questions

    1, give an example of when u produced work to a high standard.
    2, give an example when u have given someone bad news.
    3, what does a customer expect from a driver in PA announcements
    4, tell me about an unexpected situation u handled
    5, team me a situation where someone has asked you to change the way you were doing something.
    6, something your proud of
    7, give an example where u went the extra mile for a customer
    8, give an example when you worked with other to reach a goal.
