    Eurovision

Croatia were the best act and I loved Mel Giedroyc's commentary.

How do you get back from failure?

Thanks all for the advice. The main issue regarding the future is that it's so uncertain. The mark was low enough that the desired certification is probably out of reach and beyond that, I have no interest whatsoever in continuing in the field I studied (politics). It sucks the life out of me a...

How do you get back from failure?

I've had a awful year at uni both academically and mentally, and though I've passed most classes, I've just failed an essay horribly and frankly there is part of me that went to end my life because I can't see my life going anywhere now and can't face admitting to anyone that I haven't done good...

Which timezone should the UK be in?

I'd go for option 2. I hate how it gets dark by 4.30pm at some points in the Winter.

    Intersex Train on SWR

The "hate the sin, love the sinner" BS needs to go. It's so sanctimonious and self-righteous almost implying that you are the moral arbiter. I and no other gay person needs your approval. Someone being gay does not affect you, simple as.

    Intersex Train on SWR

I see no problem with it whatsoever. People need to feel represented. Trust me when I say it is the loneliest feeling if you're LGBT and in the closet with little representation around you. Some people in the thread are just being extremely ignorant. And frankly if you say you're against...

Nicola Sturgeon to resign as First Minister of Scotland, Humza Yousaf elected as new First Minister.

Unless you have similar dark age style views, I have no idea why anyone would be pro Forbes in 2023. I think she's a total insult to me as a member of the gay community and to any of my relatives who had kids outside of marriage (entirely their decision).

    GB News

There are many gay presenters and contributors on the channel so it is baffling that Calvin gets away with blatant homophobia on a regular basis. I have a feeling that karma will get him at some point though, I don't see him being a long term regular.

Nicola Sturgeon to resign as First Minister of Scotland, Humza Yousaf elected as new First Minister.

I'm divided on Forbes - part of me actually respects her honesty rather than the usual politician responses but it equally means that if she had her way eight years ago that I would not have the ability to get married so she can GET STUFFED.

Nicola Sturgeon to resign as First Minister of Scotland, Humza Yousaf elected as new First Minister.

I think it depends on the generation - generally speaking, I'd say people over 50 are more likely to have socially conservative/religious views, often times they can come across a bit intolerant. Particularly the men, I generally only get along with younger men because older men here are often a...

Nicola Sturgeon to resign as First Minister of Scotland, Humza Yousaf elected as new First Minister.

Forbes is an evangelical in addition to being SNP so it's a no thanks from me. I'd rather someone who was pro gay marriage and abortion, absolutely no time for anyone with views otherwise.

Nicola Sturgeon to resign as First Minister of Scotland, Humza Yousaf elected as new First Minister.

This evil woman ruined two years of my youth that I will never get back. We were living under constant fear that we wouldn't get many basic freedoms and she appeared to relish in this, hinting at more restrictions at any opportunity. All of this supposedly in the name of public health, though it...

    Stolen bike in flat hallway

I've had my bike parked in the hallway outside my flat for a while now, it's a bit too bulky for my flat so tied it up there. Not had any issues until now. When I went out a couple of hours ago, I noticed it was gone however whoever had taken it had left my cable lock on the floor and had...

Where is the most backward country in Europe?

If we're talking about countries being backwards socially, then France & Italy lag behind the rest of Western Europe to me as an LGBT person. I love Italy but even it's capital city feels like being in a different era (though arguably that may be Rome's charm). Obviously Eastern Europe is a...

Where is the most backward country in Europe?

I agree. I definitely feel very fortunate to be from the UK - gay relationships aren't prohibited and I can in fact get married, I don't have to waste months/years of my youth being conscripted, we don't have a dictatorship or any sort of communism in power, there is free speech, we're not a war...

Andrew Tate on trial in Romania.

I remember being shown one video of his and was quite taken aback by his aggressiveness. I don't really know much about the content he posted but if true that he was a terrible influence on younger men, then society is for the better if he's locked up. That's even before mentioning these charges...

Trivia: Retail/food chains that don’t cover the entire UK

Waitrose is one, nothing north of Stirling. Bizarre that they never tried one in Aberdeen.
