    Elizabeth line reliability issues

Not reliability but I've ended up on Heathrow-bound trains from Stratford a lot recently and noticed there seems to be a bug where just before Bond Street, the announcement that Oyster isn't valid between West Drayton and Reading will play every time. Often the driver (I assume) will abruptly...

Finsbury Park or Highbury & Islington

Definitely Highbury and Islington, they’re on the same level and connect by short passageways, you’ll be walking a few meters at most (assuming you’ll be continuing to travel southbound).

    Stratford International

I wouldn’t necessarily call it a white elephant, more mothballed infrastructure that could eventually become useful. The domestic station has been a success and I can imagine eventually there could well be a business case for bringing the International platforms into use as East London becomes...

New push to convert Oyster users to Contactless and mobile payments?

Yeah, but it certainly doesn't cause any disruption or confusion to people using the map. That's the name of the line. It's as simple as that. The sponsorship has a significant financial impact on the running of the service that would otherwise come out of the public purse. That's far more...

Why is Swiss Cottage station so windy?

Bethnal Green is like this and is absolutely freezing. Horrible in winter but great when you’re on a packed train in the summer and you get some brief relief when the doors open there. Brixton’s escalator gusts will also ruin any hairdo you might have tried to style!

Stations that have lost 'request stop' status

Didn’t quite a few stops on the Borderlands line used to be request stops? I remember seeing an ancient sign on the way to the platform at Upton saying that train station would need to be flagged down as it was a request stop, but I’ve only ever known trains to stop there. Now I think only...

What happened to plans for Eurostar at Stratford International?

As an aside does anyone know why the station wasn’t constructed closer to, or even linked to Stratford station given that the entire area was a blank slate at that point? There is a box opening much nearer to Stratford, next to the future MSG Sphere site, that could have connected to the...

Camden Town Upgrade & Piccadilly Line resignalling axed for Crossrail

Have TFL at least purchased the school site for future use?

West London Orbital line and Sutton Tram extension added to Mayor’s Transport Strategy

I'm pretty sure "normal folk" consider it a real interchange already given they use it to interchange in their droves. It's well signposted on street level and you're out of station for all of a few minutes. Obviously a direct interchange would be ideal but the current set up certainly won't be...

What happened to plans for Eurostar at Stratford International?

Currently it seems to be used as the construction company’s offices for the soon to be finished Manhattan Loft Gardens opposite the station. Presumably the space with be mothballed again once that’s finished or perhaps they’ll look to continue renting it out as offices to someone else?

In car route line diagram updates

I don’t see the problem with individual stickers being put on the diagram, I don’t think it looks amateurish at all, just shows we have an ever-changing transport network. One thing I don’t get however is consistency. When TCR had step free access installed they were quick to get the step free...

Which stations could be made disabled accessible next?

Will the tube parts of Ealing Broadway become step free when Crossrail opens there? It didn't look like there was any progress on doing this if they are when I was there yesterday. Feels like a missed opportunity if this isn't planned.

On Train Ticket Checks - Victoria Line

It always surprises how in the almost five years I've lived in London I've never once had a ticket check on the tube but have had plenty on the DLR and Overground. Granted there are many more stations without ticket barriers but still I've travelled the entire system and would have thought I'd...

    24 hour stations in London

Euston concourse is closed, the way into Night Tube is via the set of stairs next to the Sainsbury's Local.

Clapham Junction closed to due overcrowding [9/01]

My Southern train went past Clapham Junction this morning, thankfully I remembered right at the last minute that I could change at Battersea to get to Waterloo. Felt bad for the commuters on the Overground train that got rerouted to Battersea Park because of it.

Chronic staff shortages at London Underground stations - ticket office closures

I've certainly seen a lot more staff in the ticket hall and on hand to help than before the ticket office closures. I had a few issues using the ticket machines before the closures and there was never anyone to help whereas whenever I've had issues since there's been help at hand straight away.

District Line D Stock final withdrawal

As an aside it seems a bit odd that they'll make the Waterloo and City line step free at Bank but have no plans to do the same at Waterloo. They've already got a lift there from platform to ticket hall but not to the surface (which wouldn't be the biggest challenge to rectify).

    Bank/Monument automated announcer

It sounds fine. Much better than the awful Microsoft Sam style voice at Kings Cross St Pancras. How that hasn't yet been replaced is beyond me.

Earl's Court disused exit/entrance to Exhibition Centre

Some Oyster readers there so presumably it closed after 2003? Unless they were installed for testing purposes. Also what's with that sign pointing to the Victoria line?

How much of the Underground map have YOU covered?

Just keep getting on a train until you don't get chucked off.
