Any electrical signalling experts? - Preferably Czech speaking.

Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help please? I’m currently building a small Czech layout and got to the point of signalling. I managed to track down, some Czech signals both Home/Departure and Shunt signals (see photo), however I’m struggling to work out the pins. More specifically how to get...

Just don't travel.... oh and "you can't use a train, that goes to the place on your ticket".

Ah, I didn't clock the MML being shut. Yeah, I agree, with rosters etc. However, it would surely be achievable if they ran a few double sets later in the afternoon for those who needed to get somewhere. I think it is unacceptable the default answer today is just "travel tomorrow". Forget...

It shoild be Any Permitted to assist the Customer and not inconvience them any further. - Take my example yesterday. Railways are suppose to be a public service.

Just don't travel.... oh and "you can't use a train, that goes to the place on your ticket".

Totally agree. If you've made the intentions to make the train you've been booked onto and it's cancelled. You should be able to be allowed to complete your journey in whatever way, is the easiest to get to the destination on your ticket. After that point. 1702301193 I agree it's probably not...

Just don't travel.... oh and "you can't use a train, that goes to the place on your ticket".

Humour me for a second... or sit back and think about how much of an embarrassment our Railways are in the United Kingdom. I'm not just talking about a governing country that's decided all their train announcements will start in a language only 29% of their own country speaks, never mind the...

    Trainload Coal Livery

Hi, I don't suppose anyone has the CMYK, or equivalent colour codes for Trainload Coal do they please? I'm guessing the yellow for the logo is the standard British Rail Warning Yellow. It's the two grey variations. Many thanks Andy

    Devon Day Rangers GWR

Hi all, Slight problem here. We’re in Devon for the day and wanting to visit a few places. All these places inc. our original point either don’t have ticket offices or their ticket offices don’t open on a Sunday. Guards aren’t doing ticket checks and I tried to buy via the website but I’m not...

Devon Day Ranger - Consecutive Days

Sorry! Thought it was obvious as I wouldn’t expect someone to post just asking about different style tickets. Haha

Devon Day Ranger - Consecutive Days

Yes that was what I was referring to. The style I know is because it's from different machines. Both have railcard discounts. I'm don't care about the style. It's the £1.20 difference in price!!!

Devon Day Ranger - Consecutive Days

Hi all, Odd one. Can anyone explain why there is the difference below; see attachment. Consecutive days, same operator for purchasing. Ok, one was from the Ticket Office and the other the Gate Line (as there was no ticket office at the Origin station). However surely they should be the...

Whats the best (cheapest) camrea for trainspotting?

Totally agree, with the above comments. The 450D body is a good camera, and still provides excellent results. As the above comments have said. Should you wish to increase the quality of your photographs, always ditch the "Kit" lens. I would always recommend this lens to anyone looking to...
