I just wear the standard issue boots, the ones I have at the moment are made by Rock Fall, got to say they are really comfy.

For drivers there is no current rest day agreement, it was 10 hours at time and three quarters which worked out at about £550 for the shift regardless how long it was (max 10 hours). Sunday is part of the working week for drivers so it's normal pay as are bank holidays.

I thought TPE allowed 45 minutes travel time to your place of work, which would explain the rejection if it is purely down to distance.

3 month at my TOC. Difficult to enforce though, someone joined our TOC a few years ago without working their notice and nothing happened and I know of a few who have left too. Obviously there would probably be issues if you ever wanted to go back and work for the company again.

Surely no TOC is going to make you use a tablet and supply it yourself. Tablets are an option if you don't want all the paperwork, but not a requirement. If they are required then they will be supplied.

Yes you can apply for GWR and TPE at the same time and be placed in two talent pools. The passes required for TPE are higher than GWR I think, not 100% certain of this but pretty sure, so I you would need to go through the whole application process again and do the various tests.
