London Bridge: Closed for security alert, now reopened (07/03)

There are those who know but are unable to say. Suggest you ask the Met Police as it was their decision. If they want you to know, I'm sure they will say why they regarded it as suspicious, rather than just parked up.

    The Railways and "Just Culture"

Having been in the operations side of the industry for more years than I can remember, my attitude towards my staff depends on how I view the severity of the incident. They either get a b*llocking and told not to do it again, and hope they learn by their error, or they get disciplined. However...

Information for GTR Southern passengers during strike (no DOO discussion)

Gone are the days when the railway insisted that any form of clerical grade required at least an O Level in English Language! And the TSSA complained about certain grades of staff circumventing the system.....

Information for GTR Southern passengers during strike (no DOO discussion)

Signallers decision unless requested by the NR Control as the Thameslink service only has 10 minutes at London Bridge, and if more than a few minutes late, then loses its pathway north of East Croydon. Hence why so many of the TL services from Brighton to London Bridge get terminated East Croydon.

    GTR MG Salaries

Depends on the grade. MG1 can be anything up to and over 80k MG2 is anything up to 70k. And MG 3 and 4 are considerably lower (even down to 25k!). However, it is very vague depending on the nature of the post. The salaries have been stretched wider in jobs that are more difficult to fill...

GTR Social media advisor, interview this week

A lot of the abuse is very personal, there are occasions when BTP have been based in the Control and take further action against those concerned!
