First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Looks like a driver has gone on autopilot here… bus was supposed to turn around at Staple Hill and has not only continued on to Emerson’s Green uneccessarily, but has even gone to the old terminus in Lyde… https://bustimes.org/vehicles/fbri-33797?date=2023-04-25#journeys/418249868

Stagecoach West - Fleet News & Discussion

10749-52 (4) 10902/3 (2) and 10982-7 (6) appear to be the transfers for service 9 so far. Is the PVR expected to be 12? Wonder if they’ll stay gold or get a snazzy new livery.

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Any explanation as to how this happens? https://bustimes.org/vehicles/fbri-39411 Still tracking as the 5:50 to Southmead even though it’s now turned around and heading towards Kingswood… normally that’s the 7:05 to Kingswood but it’s running over 15 minutes early!

    Transpora Group

Transpora seem to be taking on a route 25 between Broadmead and Horfield Common, replacing the lost parts of the 47. Any other info on this?

Stagecoach West - Fleet News & Discussion

I spotted a gold E400 MMC with white destination screens (front and back) on a school service in Fishponds today. It usually gets an ALX400. I didn’t catch the number but it proudly proclaimed itself to be low emission luxury. Is it a new transfer in for the Stagecoach park and ride 9?

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

First day of the M4? Anyone seen them in action? None are tracking on bustimes but the real-time info in the first app is working. Intrigued to see how people react to the curtailed 73 and 19. Think there’ll be some surprised faces seeing ‘Bristol Parkway’ on the destination - most people seem...

West of England Combined Authority Cuts

Wow. Quite the list. Is the 17 fully supported or would this just affect supported journeys. I’d be surprised to see if it’s withdrawn - it certainly seems very popular at peak times. I use it daily but then again, I could easily use the 49 to cover most of my journey if the worst happens.

Have these huge changes/cuts been properly announced today? Can’t see anything anywhere except the odd dribs and drabs of information seeping through.

Fare to stop just before Bristol airport on First bus A1

You can use a FirstDay on local trips within the ‘Bristol’ zone as outlined in the booklet. I’ve done this many times lately - very helpful when the 75 is being unreliable! It definitely serves all stops along the route too.

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

One of the ex 48/49 branded E400s has gained lettering for Air Connect and is running round on an A2 this evening. Just seen passing through bemmy.

It's An applegates ALX400. Roof has come cleanly off.

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Rather confusingly, the network map shows the new U2 running via Bedminster, whilst the timetable leaflet shows it as running via Anchor Road/Ashton. One assumes the latter is correct?

http://bristolcommunitytransport.org.uk/uploaded/Bristol/New%20buses%20factsheet%20lt.pdf According to this, there will be 21 Biogas 'Scania OmniCities' ... I assumed they would have been Scania E400 MMCs!

Interesting - wonder if it was Weston route knowledge for the 'new A2' or something... seems odd..

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Saw a First liveried E200 NiS running through Bedminster Parade yesterday at about 2:45 - too far away to get an ID. Any idea where it was heading?

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

They have indeed. Already causing confusion this morning as several UWE students missed the bus as they didn't think it was a First bus and assumed the red meant it was run by Wessex!

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

I note with interest that at least one of the 'electricity' E400s has lost its branding for the 72...

Timetables are up too, showing a glimpse as the 'excel' branding and the 'weston flyer' branding - looks very smart!
