That is interesting, I live in Taunton and was told years back that it was serviced by Bristol. Will keep an eye out for jobs there however I would expect it to be unlikely as it is so small.

That was very quick, but from what I have seen GWR trainee vacancies go extremely quick. I think I missed 2 or 3 chances to apply in the last 12 months so I would check their careers page daily instead of relying on the email alert.

When I had my interview with DB back in 2014 they were doing work out there then and were keen to take people on who wanted to take the leap but I am not sure if they still do the work.

I know the advert was up for around 30 hours by the time I had the time to apply the advert was pulled. Lesson learnt and all set up on the first site now just hoping Bristol or Exeter come on again (think I am in for a long wait :lol:)

I am guessing you applied for the mendip roles? If so I am in the same boat and have been chasing for around 4 years now. It depends where you are but if you are in the somerset area then GWR and the mendip freight work are your only choices unless you find a job which will let you relocate...

I wouldn't worry too much about stage two. From my experience it was far easier than stage one. For example the MMI if you have relevant life/work experience is not as bad as many people make it out to be.
