Passengers abandon train at Lewisham with 3rd rails still live.

Whatever people say, in future people will get off in similar circumstances. As TOCs seem incapable of realising how people behave and adjusting to that then give SE Metro and inner London stations to TfL. They would have run more than 2 trains an hour in peaks which allowed ice to form and...

Passengers abandon train at Lewisham with 3rd rails still live.

Indeed. Over an hour with no lights, heating or toilets on a packed 376 train (pics show packed trains as SE only running 2 an hour in peak instead of 8) is likely to cause medical difficulties with at least 1 person requiring attention, let alone 3 hours.

    Snow Service Changes 25/02/18 onwards.

The people stuck 6 hours later left London way before 6pm. Trains that left about 4:30pm to 5pm were those stuck

    London Bridge reconstruction works

Most trains arriving about 5 mins late. Not too bad. The timetable padding will erase that from stats

Passenger journeys down by 4.5% in the 1st quarter of 2017

Not sure if mentioned but one factor for Southeastern is surely the London Bridge rebuild has closed London Terminals for up to a week at a time, and on many weekends. There's also a reduced service on some lines as standard. Another entire closure of Charing Cross, London Bridge and Cannon...

Keith Prince vs passenger with feet on seat

As soon as I saw the thread headline I wondered if that line. Never known any other line with as many selfish people doing this as SE routes to Dartford. And someone said staff intervening? There are none. Its DOO and you never see RPO so people do what they want. A racist Nigerian is sadly not...

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

Yep the SE Metro Networkers are far worse than the 465/9s, 365s and diesel variants. Sometimes it feels night and day when using SE Metro and others on the same day

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

376s should go to where a 10 car railway is the limit. Not SE Metro then. 465s are more than half way through life at 26 years for the oldest, and they show it. Never had a proper refurb which shows what successive TOCs and the DfT have thought of the areas they cover. Half forgotton and with...

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

Cheers. What Metro services are strengthened as a result?
  10. S

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

Any more changes this week? Or still just 4 377s in service?
  11. S

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

Well most of the Networkers never have in 25 years so doubtful

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

Are the 313 served areas seeing as high population growth as SE London?
  13. S

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

How many is that in total? And the same number of Networker services strengthened?

    Class 319's into storage/withdrawals tracker

Southeastern passengers would happily take them. Hardly worse inside than a Networker nowadays

North should "take control" of transport

Lumping all of south east England together isn't useful. SouthEastern Metro trains to NW Kent and SE London are grim. 25 years old and never had a refurb. Grayling blocked cascaded trains now in sidings doing nothing after Gibb report suggested it a year or so ago. Other cascades havnt happened...

North should "take control" of transport

So he's gone completely against what he did when he blocked Southeastern Metro going to TfL, at no cost to the Treasury, just a few months ago. Was against devolution then. That's was despite support across the political spectrum. And since then he's blocked numerous plans to transfer surplus...

Class 707 - SWT: Introduction into service

And 10 car 707 trains on a network now 80% upgraded in recent years to a 12-car one, at a cost of millions, isn't too smart in the mid to long term

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

God forbid Southeastern finally get them

    Class 377/5 Southeastern

The Gibb report looked at this as an option v going to Southeastern to free up Networkers to boost Metro routes. Going to SE was Gibb's suggestion way back in January.
