Severe weather Saturday 7th October, some ScotRail services suspended.

You’re paying for an industry which laughs at the customer expense

    Caledonian Sleeper

….and how many people did they successfully and safely transport safely? More than can be said for the railway. People are more accepting of delays that they can see the reason for vice an excuse covering a company lack of competence

The railway call travellers customers and a customer is a person who buys goods or services from a shop or business.

So instead we just sit here and mourn what could be? That is an excellent plan for the future 1696702339 There was me thinking a business sold products :-)

Sounds to me the railway isn’t fit for purpose if it can’t adapt to the world we live in today? Time to adjust and adapt or lift those rails and replace them with tarmac

Do you see the government funding every other business that cries wolf? If you’re all too willing to reap the success of a company then you should be willing to embrace the downfalls too. The railway has ran for hundreds of years in adverse weather yet as soon as the Carmont fatalities occur...

If someone doesn’t have the ability to work within a team to run a service albeit at reduced speed but still a service nevertheless for the public who pay them then maybe a low risk career similar to testing beds out should be look upon

Motorists are not professional drivers. The vast majority run into danger and look no further than their bonnet. A few land slips on a road network is completely different from the railway which should be maintained and inspected to military precision to prevent a service disruption. Comment...

Let’s just wrap all the staff up in cotton wool. I’m not sure who is more delusional the unions that have got us in this mess or the workers that believe this nonsense. The public pay for the service yet are always the ones let down time after time 1696652919 The only reason it would be a...

    Caledonian Sleeper

Stonehaven was a real shame but it is a risk of running an operational railway. Time to move on and not let every other UK traveller have to deal with what happened in an unfortunate incident. If Network Rail can’t run a service in all weather conditions then maybe it is time they hang their...

At least the passengers know they tried if they actually do get stuck. It’s the thought that counts

Embarrassing. I would be ashamed to wear a railway uniform

I wonder how many employers are forgiving of their employees being late daily due to the same old excuses by the railway?

Probably seen as minor because everyone is that used to it and just makes alternative arrangements since we have a non existent rail network. Avanti are happily running trains to Glasgow tomorrow according to their social media team as of 10 mins ago, yet Cal Sleeper are anticipating a 9am...

Just a normal day in Scotland I’m afraid. I find the worst weather is when it isn’t forecasted. I’ve seen red weather alerts become no more than a light breeze. People need to man up and get on with it. If it becomes unsafe then stop. Got to show you’re trying. It’s a business after all. There...

No road transport due to the weather conditions yet the main coach operator throughout Scotland is running a full service plus duplicates. Another embarrassment from the railway

    Scotrail rained off 25 Sept

I wouldn't work in the railway. I'm not work shy and believe in doing a days graft. It's the passengers I feel for but it seems most staff appear to think the railway is run for their own gain

The railway really need to get a grip with these BESR. Carmont was a terrible accident but this is the risk that is taken when you run an operational railway. Deal with it and move on with other safety measures or hang your keys up. The public need to get from A - B. This is totally embarrassing...

    Avanti v LNER

LNER wins hands down. Bransons legacy is long gone. Anything First Group get their hands on they destroy. They can only be described as an incurable cancer
