They are talking about someone who holds a licence nothing to do with the underground tram or light rail.They want experience in mainline long distance driving and not inter city metro work.This was the information passed on by one of the drivers i had asked could be wrong but made sense.

Metro driving is companys like arriva rail london and mtr crossrail they are inner london drivers and not mainline so they wont be considered for the job.Hope this helps.

Get emails to FOCS and TOCS and start emailing them asking if there are any vacancys as you have passed all the tests including mmi.Sometimes they might just need one person last minute as someone has decided to drop out the course before starting.good luck

Yes i have mate and have to say sally is brilliant.But keep fingers crossed they may get back to you soon from what i no they will need loads of drivers so if you are waiting then i suppose no news is good news but best of luck and hope you get the news your lookig for soon.

I would imagine if they need more drivers then it they would first contact the people who are still in the pool waiting i dont think it will be advertised until everyone hears back from last receuitment drive i dont know how GA operate but most companys would get back to everyone then...

Mabe they are doing really parge recruitments to meet there new franchise commitments as new trains come in more drivers will be required.But not 100 percent.
