Thameslink Programme, South Central & South Eastern area fleet cascades etc

There's two junctions on the link, one linking into SPILL station at the north end, the other onto the ECML.

Thameslink Programme, South Central & South Eastern area fleet cascades etc

International Junction on the St Pancras side and for the life of me I can't remember what the ECML name is.

Thameslink Programme, South Central & South Eastern area fleet cascades etc

Funny' I was reading something printed in 2010 stating the "Thameslink 2000 Project" so not quite dead yet (likely to be a legal thing as some stuff was ok under that name).

Thameslink Programme, South Central & South Eastern area fleet cascades etc

It did manage to make it sound like Blackfriars was going to be a four trough track station tho. But on the whole its good to see some positive news about the project especially as this year will be interesting in terms of construction and by the end of the year we should be seeing parts of the...

Thameslink Programme, South Central & South Eastern area fleet cascades etc

Just confrming here what was already said. The KO2 is now a year late, ie the whole Thameslink programme will be finished in December 2016. This month is also the date for the final introduction of all new trains the the completion of London Bridge.

    New Southeastern Livery?

Seems a merger of Southern and Southeastern franchises with the best express routes cherry picked as part of a Greater Thameslink franchise maybe be the final outcome of the Thameslink Programme. Well that seems to be the inside rumour!

    Victorialine67 stock

There's also the rumour TfL are looking at scrapping the 92TS and replacing them with with an off shoot of the Bakerloo stock. They may have to wait sometime now for the 73TS.

    Victorialine67 stock

Unlikely, they turned down the offer of getting the 59TS when the Northern Line got its new trains tho the salty air is playing havok with the 38's they use.

DfT Confirms Thameslink Programme Will Be Delayed By A Year

Its more likely they are re-scoping it if its true as currently the first trains is now running some 18 months BEFORE they even build them! The delay in the trains is goning to mean they can slow down abit. Remember the first phase of the TLP is currently running late with Blackfriars station...

    Victorialine67 stock

Not true (well the unit that was at Action last year anyway). The 67TS regularly goes to Action for work that can't be done at Northumberland Park. This will change with the arrival of the 09TS as they can't reach Acton as they are too big to fit down the Piccadilly Line's tunnels. The...

Thameslink Programme, South Central & South Eastern area fleet cascades etc

The next six months will be important for the Thameslink programme with decisions made on the new trains, deciding what to do with London bridge and see if/where these cuts will come from! Not good.

    Class 378 February 2010

As I understand it the North London Line and West London Line are the most likely place to catch a 378. Both are still a mix of 313/378 until the end of the month and the major blockage of the NLL on the east side sees all NLL/WLL services become 378's.

    First Capital Connect Class 377's

Yes I do. They have been uploaded to yahoo groups. (Thameslink and UKModernEMU are two groups that have the diagrams).

    Is the Thameslink idea flawed

No track work has been done. Its a plain junction so a shutdown will be needed to ensure the track work is in place. --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Actually the big worry at the moment is TL infamous delays impacting the ECML and causing huge fines for delayed trains. --- old...
