Agreed, having experienced the "Stockbridge Flyer" 57A and 57 yesterday, what a misnomer! To other points, surely a tram (train) to Stockbridge would have to connect into the existing tram network, either over the Don somewhere off the Middlewood route and/or back into town around Woodburn Road.

Ah yes, apologies, I saw that. I was probably getting over-excited that trams would appear a la buses.

I got Retford>London 1st Class Upgrade for £11 a while ago but have not get anything under £30 for London nor Edinburgh trips more recently and have now given up. I find that if I get a non-busy table in Standard I have enough space, it's either a full table or Airline seats that don't work for me.

Not just me then! I returned last night on the 18:48 Hull Trains ex King' Cross and didn't notice any rough riding at all. Maybe this was due to it being a 10 (2x5) car set or maybe it's just the southbound? I'm back to London on LNER Monday morning so will see if i notice on their service.

Morning All, I’m on the 07:41 Hull Trains Paragon service from Retford to London and the ride south of Grantham has been horrendous. Sections of severe rattling side to side, I’ve never experienced anything like it in 25 years on this line. Is this a known issue as I’ve not seen anything.
