Main revenue flows on the WCML

Maybe Birmingham to Manchester appears so low as everyone splits at Stafford?

Northern to stop selling AP On the Day from their ticket offices

Well, yes. What was/is needed is an off-peak single, if you only needed to go one way £3.50 was a complete ripoff. This also has the side-effect of getting around the ridiculous evening peak.

Northern to stop selling AP On the Day from their ticket offices

Northern have just started selling advances from my local (Mauldeth Road) to Piccadilly within the last few days! Almost all trains now have advances for £1.70, even for trains the same day. Levenshulme to Piccadilly now the same also. Maybe to fight back against the £2 capped bus fare?

Manchester - Northern PM Peak Hour Restrictions

It needs binning. At my local station there are no off-peak trains into the city between the 15:13 and the 19:13, totally puts me off hoping on the train after working to go into town. Perhaps it makes sense going with the commuter-flow, but between those times they're carting fresh air into the...

Mobile ticket - unable to use

Do you mean an iPhone SE? If so even the 1st generation supports the latest version of iOS (15.4.1), I've updated one this week!

    e-tickets. North Wales Coast

Fairly recently, when they switched to a new (and now also terrible) iOS app they appear to have stopped offering etickets. I used to use the old app for travelling from Wilmslow to Hereford using etickets, but now only get offered paper tickets or m-tickets, so I now just use the Avanti app...

    Special Offers Discussion

I've just repurchased journey A, and the collection reference was blank again in the email! Luckily I took a screenshot of the confirmation of payment screen which included it. Now looking at my account both journey A's are showing up in my booking history even though the first wasn't there...

    Special Offers Discussion

This has just happened to me using the Chiltern site. Journey A and journey B on one order, a booking reference for journey B on the email but for journey A the space is just blank, money for both gone out of my account. I went to the ticket office at Moor Street to sort it out and they didn't...

You're right, didn't actually check that.

    Delay repay WMT & XC

Thank you. It's not a great deal of money anyway but I'll give it a go.

    Delay repay WMT & XC

It was a WMT from Bournville being cancelled that made miss me the connection at New Street to Leicester.

    Delay repay WMT & XC

On Saturday I traveled from Bournville to Leicester. I had planned to get the 12:29 to New Street which was cancelled, so had to wait for the next train getting me into New Street 13 minutes late and resulting in me missing the train to Leicester. I then got the next train to Leicester arriving...

    Crosscity line south (Sat 28/7)

With all the disruption this has caused I had to abandon a journey yesterday, I have an nTrain ticket, would delay replay be applicable for this? I also took another journey (New Street to Bournville) using the acceptance on the National Express West Midlands, this obviously took much longer...

    Oakham to University commute

I work at the university and currently commute from Hinckley so already use an Network West Midlands pass to Narborough. Cheapest way I found so far is to drive to Narborough and pick the train up from there. If you include the cost of car tax, insurance, fuel, parking, breakdown cover and an...

    Oakham to University commute

Well, that is an option I've considered! Full time job, 9-5ish although with a bit of flexability.

    Oakham to University commute

I may soon be moving to Oakham and will have to commute daily to the University of Birmingham. I've been tearing my hair out trying to find a cheaper way of doing it than the point-to-point price of £4952.00. The only split I can find anywhere near useful is a season from Stamford to Narborough...

    West Midlands to Gobowen

I have a ntrain pass (with out of county to Narbrough) and I'm am looking to travel from Hinckley to Gobowen on Friday evening and return some time on Sunday. The best price I can find so far is using the ntrain pass to Wolverhampton and then getting two anytime singles from there to Gobowen...

Buying a n Network Daytripper out of region

Yes, you can. I've bought weekly tickets out of region fairly often, even though the Network West Midlands website says they can only be bought from staffed stations within region.
