I had this when I joined Royal Mail, they offered me a 3 month contract and I ended up staying 6 years. Chances are they are getting to see what you work like, and this is an escape clause if you don't meet the required standard. Go for it mate it's a big foot in the door. Good luck.

OK mate point taken. If that's the case I won't apply and will leave it until something closer turns up. I got to the dmi with Crossrail and failed at last hurdle, so don't want to jeopardise my chances with other tocs. Good luck to those who do apply. Also thanks for the advice.
