    Historic Train Arrival

Hi all. I need to find the calling pattern for a train that arrived at Victoria in April 2020. Does anyone know where I could find this information? Thanks in advance.

My suggestion to remove third rail as a priority

What do you propose to do about the London Underground? Not a lot of room down there... Equally, what about the DLR. Its contact rail is covered on top to prevent accidents, but is nevertheless a third rail. Would that have to go too?

    Unusual Fenchurch Street Working

This is currently idling outside of my flat. I can see 66704, but I only caught a passing glimpse of what looked like a rake of wagons. Does anyone know what it's up to?

First Class on the Bakerloo Line?

Perhaps it could be expanded to a special platform waiting area using a combination platform edge doors and oyster readers?:p

    Incident at Holland Park

Is it my imagination, or have fire extinguishers recently been removed the ends of the cars of 95 stock?

    Fenchurch St Movements

Looks about right – I only got a very quick glimpse as it was hauled past. Definitely a DRS 37 and the Caroline looks about right. A very good guess :) Any idea what it might have been doing there? I think this might have been a separate move – there were only two vehicles in the move I saw...

    Fenchurch St Movements

There have been some odd movements in and out of Fenchurch Street over the past 24 hours. In particular, very early this morning (about 00:20) and then just after lunchtime 12:24 (which was this movement: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U88516/2013/07/10/advanced). Clearly diesel locos...

Single track lines where a physical token is in use

Harrogate - York: again two blocks between Knaresborough and Cattal, and Hammerton and Poppleton.

If St Andrews Get a Station ?

They should put it back in the Argyle Street carpark – a line out on either side. One goes straight up the Cannongate (unlucky residents), and the other around the Old Course Hotel. Bish bosh bash rail link done.

    Knaresborough Crossing

I imagine it would be Oakwood Farm – it's this one on GoogleMaps http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Knaresborough&hl=en&ll=54.011041,-1.421678&spn=0.003518,0.007693&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=14.514955,31.508789&vpsrc=6&hnear=Knaresborough,+North+Yorkshire,+United+Kingdom&t=h&z=17 The thing...

    Knaresborough Crossing

Does anyone know the reason why trains on the Knaresborough - York line always break sharply before a crossing a little way towards York after Knaresborough station? The crossing seems to be a self-operated one, and the gates are sometimes left flapping open, which I suppose could be partially...

    Leuchars to Glasgow via Dundee

Hello all, Quick question - is there a permitted route between Leuchars via Dundee to Glasgow, or have the restrictions been relaxed? I've looked at the routing guide maps and the situation seems unclear. Similarly, the easements page states it's not permitted. This question arises because...

Stations far away from the towns they serve

Leuchars is a good 5 miles away from St Andrews, which is the town it primarily serves!

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) First Class service

That's as may be, however, do you really think passengers know or care? Ultimately it's EC's responsibility to provide the service they advertised.

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) First Class service

Currently on the 1350 from Aberdeen. Boarded at Leuchars and it took over 3 hours for food to come round. When it did, it was half a round of stale sandwiches served by harassed (albeit sweet steward) because 'no food had been put on at Edinburgh'. Really disappointed in East Coast today.

    Track side Alarms

Hello! Long-time reader / lurker, first time poster. Every time I travel back from university on the ECML between Dunbar and Berwick there's a portion of the line which seems to have some form of alarm attached to the catenary supports and the train always seems to pass slowly through this...
