Going there (hopefully) in September and a lot of the trains that last year went to St Roch now seem to go via Sud de France. Not sure what the point of it as a bypass is, given (as 30907 says) they go on to also stop at Sete and the rest now.
Looks bad this - apparently Béziers had three months worth of rain last night, and the Orb rose 12 meters. Part of the line between there and Narbonne was cut, power lines down too:

I went travelling around the South of France last autumn, and I had a similar experience - they checked it on every train, TGV and local, even the really early in the morning ones. They didn't stamp it though, just checked that I'd written it out.
This would probably be a very good idea, if only the Welsh Government werent the ones implementing it.

One would imagine the Borderlands Line would probably be shooed off to Merseyrail as well (which might not be a bad thing for those who use...
... and thats without the expansion of the towns along the route, the takings would be considerably more now even using the lines as they existed in 1980.
Reading that just makes it even more annoying that Denbigh - Chester was killed off; even the sad little remnant of the line that survived until the early 80s could have been of considerable use to residents nowadays, to judge by how full buses to Wrexham and Chester are at certain times.
Just went between Chester and Euston on one without working air conditioning in Coach B, fortunately most of the affected coach was able to move after half the train got off in Crewe.
I was wondering however is there any point at which the set has to be taken out of service? The temperature...
Depends on when you are travelling, and whether its on a Voyager or a Pendolino. Most of the time on the Voyager its a sandwich / roll of some kind, crisps or fruit, and a soft drink or water. Be aware though of the "Little Box of Snacks", which is much smaller than it sounds.
Barriers wouldnt be an effective deterrent, lets face it people already kill themselves on the lines inbetween stations. In fact it might result in more deaths as at least in a station some would-be suicides will get hit by slower trains, be stopped by other passengers or station staff etc, and...
Having had the "Little Box of Snacks" served to me twice on Virgin Trains, I hope NR both win this lawsuit and are awarded the right to set a swarm of deadly deadly bees upon Branson and his senior cohorts.
Actually that was league one that they got the ten point deduction in because of Hamilton and his antics (though, geniuses that they are, the FA only deducted the points after Hamilton had been run out of town by the auditors and the Dismal Jimmys), they lost their League Two because of the next...
It is. The first time I was presented with the "Little Box of Snacks" I honestly thought the catering were making some kind of surrealist joke, especially the matchstick-sized piece of chocolate.
Now however I realise that it is Branson's dirty protest against losing the franchise.
Having only used this service intermittently, I seem to recall that at one stage it was free only if you had a railway ticket, otherwise you had to pay.
Forgive my naivety here, but if the service is really sat there for 30 minutes would it not be easier to put it the other side of Watery Road (possibly in or on the approach to the bay platforms) rather than having it sat outside these peoples houses?
