Well my point was that the inconvenience of spending a few extra seconds of time for adding the railcard discount manually is significantly less than the inconvenience caused when it applies the discount automatically after the railcard has expired.

I can see why some would want the convenience of booking tickets without needing to pick the railcard discount each time, but it really isn't an inconvenience. If I forget to add the railcard, then all that means is I overpay for my journey. However, if my railcard expires but is still...

I’m in Wallingford so Didcot is my closest. I can access plenty of ticket offices around London. I just wasn’t sure whether that ticket was only available via CS website or whether it could be bought from a ticket office.

I see there are £50 seat tickets on the Caledonian Sleeper website for a date in March that I’d like to travel on. Am I able to buy this from any station ticket office? I ask as I’d like to buy using RTVs.

I think the Iver Goods Loop on the GWML is wired but I wonder if anything has used it on the wires.

I remember seeing a GMPTE Class 150/1 in Devon when I was a kid. It would have been around the time of privatisation. I cannot remember exactly where I saw it though. In 2004, a Centro Class 150/1 was also on hire in Devon, as I caught it a few times on Exmouth - Paignton services.

I remember that one of the Class 456 units was named 'Sir Cosmo Bonsor' when it was operating with Southern. The first few Class 159 units were also named, as I remember seeing one with the name City of Exeter while at Exeter.

Platform 5 at West Drayton was rebuilt recently but I've never seen any service use it to date. No idea if it's to be used more regularly in the future or whether it was just built for extra resilience in the event of disruption.

Whatever the reason, it creates some funny anomalies. A good one being East Dulwich, which is north of North Dulwich.

In my part of the world, I should think tickets sold between Appleford and Culham are rare. The service between the two is poor due to the stopping pattern of the Didcot to Oxford shuttle, and even if someone wanted to travel between them, there are no ticket buying facilities at either station...
