    Robeston oil diagrams

I have noticed in the past few months there have been a few additional workings to Robeston from Westerleigh and Theale on a regular basis. The rakes of Murco TEA wagons now have a few EWS beastie logo ones spliced into them. The EWS liveried tanks were not seen down in West Wales since the...

    Heaviest rolling stock?

Yes, I had seen that and wondered when someone told me he thought he was aware of 110 ton bogie wagons, and I was sure the figure should be about 102 tons and no more.

    Heaviest rolling stock?

Assuming we are running a train on the best track (RA10), what is the heaviest wagon that is permitted? I'm talking 4 axled or bogie wagons here.

    60065 at Cwmbargoed

Last week the EWS liveried 60 appeared on the Hope Earles Sdgs to Cwmbargoed HTA hopper diagram. Class 60's frequently appear on DBS services in place of a 66, but why is it so rare to find one on this Cwmbargoed working? Is there some reason that it is not ideal to have a 60 on it?

Two 56's on Baglan Bay - Chirk?

This week's Colas timber workings have had 56078 + 56113 paired throughout. What is the reason for this?

    Types of TEA's at Robeston

Seeing as these oil workings regularly pass where I live in Carmarthen, I am used to seeing mixed rake red liveried Murcos whether on route to/from Westerleigh or Theale. On a few occasions I have seen plain grey Tiphook rail tankers which I assumed ran to Bedworth. However, I went to see the...

    Robeston oil workings after disruption?

Looks like the line from Carmarthen to Llanelli re-opened today (14th) but petroleum services to Robeston are still all cancelled despite there being a fair backlog.

    1L42 FGW Ferryside - Paddington ?

On the 30th and 31st, the usual morning FGW service from Carmarthen to London Paddington has been altered and ran ECS Landore to Carmarthen, then ECS from Carmarthen to Ferryside, where the service begins. What is the reason for this, it seems a bit strange?

    Haverfordwest sidings?

I notice that on RTT there is a WTT diagram from Haverfordwest Freight Depot to Didcot T.C. but the working never seems to actually run. I'm assuming the consist would be of an M.O.D. variety if one did run?

    What working is this?

I see. So why is the consist weight drastically wrong at 715t ?

Port Talbot Parkway to Swansea Loop West. Diesel locomotive, trailing load 715 tonnes. Has been running while the Loughor bridge is down. And today, Sunday 7th April. 15.40 out of Port Talbot.

    Railcard renewal date issue

Ok, my current railcard expires on 7th April 2013. Earlier this week I sent off for a new railcard by mail using £14 of Tesco Rewards to purchase it. The new one arrived in the post today, and instead of it starting off where my old one ended (8th April) it says on it "valid until 14 APR 2014"...

    Ruggex Carmarthen to Edinburgh

Ok, so this ECS came top n tailed down from Crewe to Carmarthen, but when it was at Carm. they put both DRS 47's at the front to double head. Most stuff like for example, the Northern Belle, stay t'n't. Was there a reason for this? I'm thinking, maybe to keep to high line speeds on the WCML?

    Westbury TC- Whitland working?

Anyone know what the consist is? Ballast? Terminates at Whitland around 23.33 on 26/02

    Colas log train weight?

Would like to know the maximum load used on these log trains, where a 56 is in use? The full laden working from Baglan Bay has to tackle Stormy Bank with a single grid, so how heavy is this train?

    Bishton flyover

Could someone explain what is this for? There are 4 lines before it and 4 lines after it so if freight on the relief line needs to be passed by passenger workings it can be anyway. Could just sets of points have been used to divert workings onto the appropriate lines depending on whether it is...

Late Murco working to Robeston Tues 12th?

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated - I'm not dead sure on this but assume it to be the 6V55 Bedworth to Robeston, passed Carmarthen approx 10am, not the time it ever passes at. Can't find a diagram to Robeston for this today, only know that 6B33 and 6B47 are running / have run.

    Diesel Engine specs.

Does this mean that when a set is stabled at a station for long periods and they switch one power car off, that the other car is set to notch 2 to keep the lighting on in the carriages?
